Much better than Jimmy's DLC

Overall I’d have to say this DLC was enjoyable, but not for the arcade style missions, those are just dumb. What little story there was I found interesting, it was good to see what happened to Joe while Vito was in prison.

The arcade style missions were ok on the whole, but I found the scoring system ridiculous. Why the hell would you score points for blowing up some random car if it’s not associated with the mission? I can see if it kills an enemy, but other than that it’s just dumb. Same with grenade kills, I’m not gunna waste a $25 grenade to kill someone when a .50 cent bullet will work just as well.

What I did like was the free roam aspect. I know the main game let you do that to a point, but it was a lot more structured, especially from chapter 12 on where you were basically thrown from one thing to the next with very little choice in it.

I especially enjoyed the larger capacity garage, I probably spent more time collecting and fixing up cars and just driving them around than anything else. I wish that would have carried over into the main game as well.

I completely agree! "Jimmy's Vendetta" was horrible to me...although "Joe's Adventure" wouldn't win a prize for being the best, it far better than Jimmy's fiasco.

I'm enjoying this one more then Jimmy's Vendetta. One thing I don't like about this though is I seem to get wanted status no matter if cops are around or not. I've done a few missions (the last one was to help Marty) and I was somewhere where there were no cops. I killed a few bad guys and got wanted status. No cops coming after me or anything it just pops up. There also seem to be more cops here. A couple missions I've done I would be driving along and there would be like 4 cop cars on the on the mini map. Never had that problem before in the main game or Jimmy's Vendetta. Other then that its good.

I finally got to playing this, do not like the Joe's Adventure at all.

The cops are freakin ridiculous, hyper aggressive and everywhere. I decided to stop playing after the limousine stealing mission (20% in) - drive all the way across town, no damage allowed after stealing it, but cops insta-smash the car. no problem head to get repair - losing cops at least twice on the way. Not enough money for repair! OK, i go rob a gas station, he's got 56 bucks, so back in the car hit up a gunstore, great he's got the money, back to get the repair, change the license. Head back to Derek... and guess what - fucking timer runs out right there. SOrry Joe, I'm not driving across town again, not once more.

Not much fun, at least in Jimmy's DLC the cops gave some leeway with having the cars being cleaner to drive, no insta-wanted on them. iykwim.

ahhhhh, venting feels good.
