Talking FF

My favorite Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy 7 because they had a raw CG movie and they made a couple games to fill in the loop holes

my fav final fantasy is part 3 on snes (or 6 in japan), story was so good. It really had you sucked into the action as tera the amnesia stricken witch is saved by the rebels who are in the midst of overthrowing an imperial dictatorship. Locke, Celes, Edward, Mog, shadow, relm, setzer, sabin and so many more notible characters. But this game introduced the best villian, before sephiroth was KEFKA, this guy was nuts! a crazy jester like madman was a tad bit more evil to me, he was truely a nutcase haha. I always hope theyd remake it, cause everyones always screaming "remake 7" but i know deep down, some of the magic would be lost, cause hidden in its 2d sprites is a world of imagination and hours of grinding.

FF VIII - not exactly sure why though .. I liked the story and characters a lot. Possibly also because it was the first FF I really played through and got into

Final Fantasy 4 is my favorite in the series. I remember playing it long ago on the SNES as a child and never finishing it, until the DS version came out a couple years ago. The bosses were memorable and the characters are fleshed out nicely - especially for a game first released in 1991! So I'd have to say it's my favorite in the series if only because it had the biggest impact on me.

Favorite game: Definitely FFVIII. Story, characters, graphics for the PS1, (card game :P) all of it was awesome. Played that one the most besides VII and X.

the best final fantasy is final fantasy five. it doesn't take itself very seriously, which is great, because i'm an adult and i've come to realize that the "serious" final fantasy stories are dreadful. job system is cool, doesn't look terrible, decent music.

Like many others, FFVII is my favorite of the series. It was my first FF game (and at the very young age I was, my first real "full-length" game) and I enjoyed being completely emotionally invested in the characters and their story.

Favorite final fantasy = FF Tactics. As epic as some of the other ones were, tactics was one you could enjoy replaying to raise up entirely new types of classes. I've probably put more hours into that game than any other I've ever played.

my favorite final fantasy was FFX. i loved the story, the battle system, all the side mini-games. i probably messed around for at least 50 hours alone on blitzball. how could anyone not be at least a little bit attracted to rikku? i loved everything about that game.

FF1, because I appreciate irony, and Enix's swansong actually being their biggest success and bringing them back is rich in irony.

My favorite Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy III (a.k.a. FFVI) on the Super Nintendo. My reason is simply that it was the first game that I was able to beat with my Dad watching.

I would rank Final Fantasy VII as tops but still have a soft spot for the original that got the ball rolling.

My fave is probably either FFIV or FFVI. I played each of those a number of times when they came out, both the Japanese and English releases. Great stories, and not-overly-complicated gameplay (when compared to the third or fifth games in the series, for example). These two are the most-often named as people's favorites, and for good reason. I wanted to differ from the norm, but it was too tough in this case haha.
