The servers have been shut down for...a year or more now. The online achievements can't be earned.

seems like you can play but not get achievements but I'm willing to give quitter a shot--if that won't work then we know online gamer won't work either. (I need both but if one won't not a point in wasting time for the other)

Just attempted boosting the online achievements and can confirm that none of them work. You can't get Quitter and you can't get Online Gamer.

Even though you can still play "ranked" games online, the online achievements will not work.

I make this play session for achieving Quitter! NHL 2K8 consisting leave 10 games online.

We will also make the achievement of playing 30 games online. Simply we play games, leave 30 times. Very easy.

The game servers are still active, and I confirmed. What does not work is the league of friends and other characteristics.
