Flyboy glitch

I am playing the mission Kickstart my heart and i have both boxes checked off as well.I have been runnnig all around the top of this damn thing but he wont spawn any clues?

EDIT

k i just left the map and returned and it unchecked one of the boxes which in turn allowed me to get him to appear when i got to the top of the forge thing
