That’s why I thought 126 is always the limiting number (maybe the program can handle max 126 different items at once or something like that). But it seems that the 10k glitch in chapter 2 is “glitchy” itself. Best is to make 2 savegames before start duplicating. I net only 900,000 (poor me ) but I didn’t want to load my savegame after duplicating 90 items.


Yeah, maybe someone else can try the 10k glitch and post the results.

I can verify both of Chapter 2's duplication items. (The 3,000 and the 10,000 credit bills)

As for the 10,000 I have got 900,000. My Dead Space edition is the Platinum Hits one, if that means anything to anyone.

It seems that you can gain 900k extra in the second chapter (in addition to the 3k glitch). Maybe this should be supplemented by the opener of this thread.

Tried the chapter 2 10K bill glitch last night, and it worked like a charm. I stopped at 300K, because that was all I needed.

Thanks guys for all your input. I've updated the guide to reflect these additional finds for both Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.

Since I didn't actually try them, and can't because I no longer own the game, they were listed as unverified but legit. Video links and quoted descriptions included.

Seeing how long this game has been out, I think that that may be wrapping up what can be duped in Dead Space 1.

The guide may or may not be updated again in the future. I honestly don't check the thread now but every couple of months. Family and all.

Yeah thanks alot. The 3k Credit dupe worked great in chapter 2. Racked up 90k thanks to it. Though it was the 10k dupe in chapter 2 that worked the best. Racked up 420k. This will definitely help with impossible mode.

you can cange the spawn location of the peng by leaving it outside the double doors on the walkway, then activate the "Pa-woosh" noise then kinesis grab as soo as the doors open, then pa-woosh and it spawns outside the door. Much easier.

Great guide. I used peng to max out on my 1st run and then the chapter 2 dupes for my impossible run. I duped around 140 of the 3k credit note and got bored of it but I'm sure I could have kept going.

This along with the heavy damage cutter and tank armor makes impossible a breeze.

The Chapter 4 glitch with the 5,000 Credit Bill, Large Med Pack and a Gold Semiconductor, which is the easiest to glitch or which would be less tedious?

All this works on the Xbox as of 2/22/2013. There was not down load for the game either. Great post full of details and video makes it very easy to follow. Thanks, I'd never go gotten the total up graded achievement without it.!!

i can confirm the chapter 2 - 3k credit dupe works on xbox, got it about 20 times and got bored so not sure about max. For me the trick after it disappeared was to walk to the bottom of the ramp then up and i heard the click as it respawned

I must say when I completed DS2 I needed some help to complete it after getting board on the 4th play through but with DS1 I completed mission impossible using only the refurbished plasma cutter (fully upgraded) and the dlc tank suit and I must say it wasn't too difficult but DS2 I a complete different kettle of necromorphs!! I love Dead Space..one of the best games I've ever played..
