INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Cabela's Adventure Camp Achievement Guide. This is a fairly easy game overall, pending your kinect wants to cooperate. I found everything but the timed achievements extremely easy, however, if your kinect wants to keep your vehicle straight you can probably finish some of the time achievements on the first or second try. It is a short game. The story mode is 7 mini games consisting of roughly two minutes each. Then there is free play mode where u can pick a mini game to play, but only if you got a silver you can move on to the harder versions. I suggest just doing everything you can in cup mode if possible.

WALKTHROUGH

Step 1: Cabela's Cup

Dive right into Cabela's Cup by selecting Cabela's Cup under the Play menu. This is a 7 event competition. You cannot use two people to do this. You must face the CPU. Randomize your character until it is a girl character. Start the game as a girl. Simply first play the Beer, Hunter, Ninja Minigame and it doesn't matter if you pass or fail this. Now you will get to pick the mini games you want. The last one is always Hogwacked no exceptions. I would suggest at this point going down the list and make sure you play all the mini games possible. Do multiple cups to get them all done and unlock the Girlz Rulz achievement. In the mean time if you happen to win the Cabela's cup great. If not do another one, but only pick events you are good at. You can pick the same event as many times as you want if you think that is easier. Your goal here is to pass all mini games and win the cup at least once.

Step 2: Mop up

Simply just keep loading Cabela's cups with your choice of games and complete the achievements listed below. Allot of them are game specific so just make sure you put the games you want on the cup list. If you do not want to do this and want to pick them from free play mode be warned you can only pick the first even from the list unless you silver that event. I find this a waste of time because in the cup mode you can pick all 4 events without having to have the silver medals.

That's it really its mostly just play the mini game asked do x task get the achievement. Very easy game for the most part as long as the kinect cooperates.

Exercise30 Complete 10 Match the Pose jumps.

In a racing event (Kayaking, Biking, Wave Riding) Some ramps will have signs with pictures on them. Go off one of these ramps and it will ask you to match the pose on the screen. Simply alter your body into the pose it says. Each body part will light up green if you did it correctly and if you get them all green you get a 100+ point bonus. You will definitely get this just by normal playing as long as you are successful doing the posing.


Greedy!30 Collect 40 coins in one level on any Kayaking, Biking or Wave Riding level


You will easily get this going for a gold medal. Simply collect as many orange coins as you can making sure you get 40 of them. Each one is worth 10 each so that would be a score of 400 means you would have collected 40 coins.


Girlz Rulz!100 Pick a female character and use her to pass all activities at least once.


I just started a Cabela's cup did random character until a girl showed up. I then manually selected my games in the Cabela's cup so I wouldn't miss any. So for example I made sure one cup had all of skeet 1 2 3 and 4 so I know all 4 events were taken up. You only need to pass so that means practically just register a score and that is considered passing.
I prefer to do this in Cabela's cup because u cannot do all the events in free play unless you silver the event previous. So for example to do Skeet 2 in free play you would have to Silver Skeet 1 why waste the time? Just select them in Cabela's cup.

Jeweler30 Collect 10 diamonds across all activities.


You will see these in many activities but the easiest ones to get are in the biking, wave racing, or kayaking. They are worth 50 points each and you only need to collect 10. They are huge and pretty hard to miss.


Stunt Man30 Finish any Biking level without falling from the bicycle.


To do the biking levels you need to push your hands forward and grip them like you riding a bike. If you push your hands forward you go faster, back you go slower. Then lean left and right to turn. Well the neighborhood bully decides to be a wise guy and drop trees in front of you. You can either jump them which I don't recommend because sometimes your character refuses to jump or simply go as far left or as far right to avoid them as you can. As long as you hit none of these trees you should be able to not fall off the bike unless you fall off a huge jump awkwardly. Score or time does not matter so take your time. I found biking 1 easier to do this in.


Upright30 Finish any Kayaking level without flipping the kayak.


To do the kayaking levels you need to push your hands forward and grip them like you are holding a paddle. You have to lean left and right to paddle, but I found it easier to just slightly lean instead of fully leaning so you go slow as possible. You wont actually paddle but the boat will move. Again the neighborhood bully decides to be a wise but this time he drops rocks in front of you. You can either jump them which I don't recommend because sometimes your character refuses to jump or simply go as far left or as far right to avoid them as you can. As long as you hit none of these rocks you should be able to not fall off the kayak unless you fall off a huge jump awkwardly or a huge wave washes you up (sometimes this just happens randomly where a wave will push you out of control and flip you. Score or time does not matter so take your time. I found kayaking 1 easier to do this in.


Camp Star100 Win the Cabela's Cup.


You can cheat this in a way. From the main menu select play then Cabela's Cup. Play Bear, Hunter, Ninja and finish it. It does not matter if you win or lose that game. This is pretty simple from here. The objective is to score more points than anyone else. They will always go first so you will see how many points is needed to beat the computer. You can manually select the games. I would suggest one you are good at. I selected biking 1 for every event because I knew I could gold it easily. You will always play Hogwacked last regardless what you pick. Simply score more points than everyone else at the end of the 7 event cup and you will get this achievement and fill out a postcard.


Speed Wheeler30 Pass Biking 1 under 1 minute 10 seconds.

I would suggest do not worrying about collecting, push your hands as far forward as you can and do your best to avoid the trees. I was able to hit one tree and still hit the time. I did not take the shortcut. I stayed on the path and didnt take the grass. Time was 1:09 but if i didnt hit the tree probably would of been faster. Do not take any jumps and make sure to fall off all bridges to the right.


Shoot the Rapids30 Pass Kayaking 1 under 1 minute 30 seconds.


Try to avoid any barriers and take all the paths that are clear. I found kind of doing the twist with your body where you kind of pump one arm in and the other out and move both your legs. Just like the famous song:

Basically just do this motion over and over (the he does at from about 34 to 46 seconds you will paddle like a madman and make the time easily)

Speed Cruiser30 Pass Wave Riding 1 under 1 minute 30 seconds.


I would suggest do not worrying about collecting, push your hands as far forward as you can and do your best to avoid things. The fastest way to do this one would be at the very beginning make sure you get the first coin and the three coins above the ramp. That's 4/5 already get 1 more and you should easily get 5 within 10 seconds of starting. Now the only hard will be navigating the other two sections to grab 10 coins efficiently. Do this then sprint to the finish.

A tip i found for this is when you get to section 3 collect 4-5 coins then dash to the finish. There is roughly 6 coins siting right by the gate go up to the gate jump and you should collect all the coins. The gate will open and u only have to literally move one inch across the finish line.



Flying Fish30 Jump 15 times in Wave Riding 1 or 2.


Simply jump up and down in front of the kinect so your jet ski jumps in the air 15 times. That simple.


Speleologist30 Discover the hidden cave in Biking 1.


To get to the shortcut roughly halfway through the bully will drop a tree. You will see a very obvious rock that is leaning sideways to your left. Simply go towards this rock and you will see a hidden path. Take this path and the achievement will unlock.


Marksman100 Finish any shooting activity with a full 200 point accuracy bonus.


Load up any skeet event in free play. I used skeet 1. Shoot one target without missing and make sure it registers a score. Now put your hands in your pockets and stand there. The gun will disappear off the screen. Simply watch the timer run out and you will get your achievement at the end of round 3.


Memorizer100 Get through all 10 stages of Hogwhacked.


This is a memory challenge. There will be four moles that come out of tree stumps. Your task is to hit them with a hammer in the order they pop out. I used a number system. There is four of them so for example. If the fourth came out, then the 3rd, then the 2nd, then the first. I just said out loud 4 3 2 1 then the next round say the same pattern happened but then the first one came out again it would be 4 3 2 1 1 and so on. You need to make it through ten rounds of this. I suggest writing it down if you do not have a good memory.


Fast Reflexes 20 Hit a moving deer target while in Archery 2 or 4.


This has to be in Archery 2 or 4 only. I found the bow handling a bit awkward. The manual says to arc your hands down then bring it them up and pull your right hand back while extending your left hand forward. I found it easier to just make a fist on both hands and kind of hold it in a position like I was holding a gun. Once I had the target over the moving deer I just pushed my left hand down to the ground like I was slapping something and that seemed to shoot it just fine. I'm sure there are different hand motions that will work for people, but all you need is to hit one moving deer. The wolves don't count nor do the does.


Ultimate Combo30 Hit 25 objects in a row in any Skeet level.


Simply hit 25 objects in a row. Carefully aim your shots. I would suggest trying to just hit 5 groups of discs in a row without missing.


Speed Freak30 Speed boost continuously for the whole track length in Biking, Kayaking or Wave Riding.


I found this rather annoying. Simply load up one of those three events listed and push your hands forward as far as you can go so your vehicle goes at full speed. I found this easiest to do in the wave riding. I simply pushed my hands forward and held them there for roughly three minutes. The hardest part was just holding that position and not letting go. You do not need to pass the mission if the timer runs out it is perfectly fine.


Demolition Expert 30 Hit all of the dynamite in one level on Skeet 1 or 4


On Skeet 1 and 4 roughly 5 or so sticks of dynamite will randomly show up. Simply shoot all of these and the achievement will unlock at the end of the game.

Golden Fever30 Catch 25 yellow fish in Fishing 1.


In Fishing 1 the objective is to catch the colored fish on the screen. However, I found out this achievement is cumulative so even if the screen says catch 3 blue fish, just simply catch all the yellow fish you can let the timer run out then play the game again. Took me maybe 4 games of fishing 1 to get 25 yellow fish.


Touchy30 Pass any Wave Riding level without touching a single buoy.


In either wave riding 1 or 2 the objective is to collect coins. There is three areas and you cannot access them until you collect a certain number of coins. In area 1 it will ask you to collect 5 coins, in area two it will ask you to collect 10 coins, and in area 3 it will also ask you to collect 10 coins. Simply do all this collecting then go to the finish. However, you cannot touch any buoys which are the big red and blue things floating all around. Score and time do not matter as long as you get to the end and collect the number of coins required without touching the buoys.


Explorer30 Destroy all 5 crates in Wave Riding in one run.


While collecting the coins you will see some big boxes. Mostly I saw two in each of the three areas. You need to run into 5 of these boxes in one run. This is not cumulative.



Speed Ace100 Receive golden medals in all racing activities.
Biking 1
Biking 2
Kayaking 1
Kayaking 2
Wave Riding 1
Wave Riding 2

You will need to gold these 6 events. Golding in this game is very easy for racing events. The score you need is 750 points. You can get this by collecting 75 coins or collecting coins and other methods.
Poses: Go off a ramp with a picture sign on it and do a pose. This adds 100+ points to your score
Diamonds: Each one of these you collect will add 50 points to your score
Time: Complete it in a decent amount of time and it will give you a time bonus ( I personally never got one of these and still was able to gold)
I did these all in free play but I'm assuming they can be done in Cabela's cup too.

Reserved. I have 880 in the game i am missing hit 25 in a row and the three time ones but if i do achieve them i will post more tips if needed

Edit: 910 now for the 25 in a row you can use the dynamite and hit a group of them put your hands in your pockets then when the dynamite comes back again take them back out shoot it and once u get to 25 it will count as 25 in a row even though it was groups

For the jet ski i found it easier to just go as fast as u can and try to like ping pong around and hope you get some coins u wouldnt of got going slow if that makes sense.

speed cruiser will not unlock. ive done it 3 times and my times are 1:26 1:16 and 1:10 and the ach has yet to pop for me

edit: nevermind i got it. doesnt make any sense that the time at the end is time left, not the time you did it in.

How do you accelerate consistently on the jet sky for the speed cruiser achievement. I push forward it speeds off then slows down, no matter how far I put my hands forward it won't go fast. Any tips?

Yes this is exactly how you do it my arms were killing me afterwords but just try to hold it steady

I had an issue with Girlz Rulz. I played through everything except Fishing 1 and 2 with Brooke, turned off the game, then came back to fish. No achievement. So maybe you need to do all events before quitting the game.

On the other hand, it may have been a problem with Brooke. When I won the Cabela Cup with her, some surfer dude wrote the postcard instead. I ended up replaying all events with Veronica (without quitting the game) and got the achievement.

I'm now at 970, but I'm not sure how I'll get Speed Cruiser. I'm lucky to be done in less than 2 minutes. The controls are such garbage. This is the worst Kinect game I've ever played. I hope it's over soon.

Edit 2: Game complete. I used the strategy I suggested above, slowing down when I needed to change direction. Still a lot of luck involved. Glad this game is done.

Edit: Here's an easy way to get a Gold in Wave Riding. You can do the pose jumps as many times as you wish on the same ramp. So just jump 6 times for 750 points.

Still working on Speed Cruiser. I got close once. The jet ski seems to go faster if I show it the open palms of my outstretched hands. Also, I think it might be good to go slowly at the start of Stage 3 since there are several pairs of coins to pick up in the narrow corridor connecting 2 and 3.

I haven't come up with a good strategy for Stage 2 though. There are lots of coins inside a corridor of buoys, but steering into the corridor takes quite a bit of luck.

Having lots of trouble with archery. Game won't recognize me. Maybe I am doing the controls wrong? I am going to try to play this next during the day so it could read me better. Maybe I will try to recalibrate the kinect too....

I disagree that speed ace is easy. Those wave rider levels are dumb and stupid and if i used a controller i would be throwing it. Thats the only hard thing in the game though.

Speed freak

I found the wave race to be too long and frustrating. I used the 1st kayak run. It's shorter than holding out my arms for 3 mins.

I brought my arm up about shoulder high straight out and then arched it down to slap my leg/knee and back up. I alternated arms, one shoulder height straight out and up, the other slapping my leg/knee. I went over 3 times and hit the pose jump. Kept flapping my armsvanyway and snagged the achievement on my second try once I got the pattern down.
