Immortal achievement

hi guys, i played this last night completing it and getting the exterminator achievement. I tried getting the immortal one on single player and succesfully didnt die on the first level, but i didnt get the achievement. Does this mean that it has to be done online?

Although it doesn't specify in the description, you need to play the game with another player. It can be done locally with 2 controllers. Neither you nor your partner can die.

yep. start a game. if you are alone: attach the 2nd person to your ship so you can steer them and still get through without either of you dying.

Is there a level that is a bit simpler with regard to navigating the swarm of baddies?
Also, has anyone gotten this in tandem with the one where you never fire a shot?
