Achievement Guide & Road Map
![]() Achievement Guide & Road Map Work in progress, constructive criticism is always welcome. -Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 -Offline: 16 for 200 ![]() -Online: 0 -Approximate amount of time to 200 : 3 hours-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3, Easy, Medium and Hard -Number of missable achievements: 0 -Glitched achievements: None -Do cheat codes disable achievements? No cheats -Does difficulty affect achievements? Yes Introduction: Welcome to my Achievement Guide & Road Map to achieving 200 on Geo-Defense. The game is currently priced at $2.99 / £2.49. Getting Started: The first thing you want to do is turn 'Novice' mode on in the options. Then work through the 3 difficulties: Easy - Guide here Medium - Guide here Hard - Guide here It doesn't matter which difficulty you start first, but your aim is to get 10 gold stars in each difficulty. A gold star means you've completed that level without losing a life, a green tick means you've completed the level but have lost 1 or more lives. If you complete a level with a green tick you can retry it for the gold star. Special Thanks: 700x23.wordpress.com for providing the guides. Easy Start 1 ![]() Beat any of the easy levels Complete any 1 of the 10 easy levels. Beat Easy 2 ![]() Win each of the easy levels Complete all 10 easy levels. Easy Owned 10 ![]() Beat every easy level without losing a life on any. This is easier than it sounds, as you can retry any level if you lose a life. A walkthrough for all easy levels can be found here. Medium Start 5 ![]() Win any of the medium levels Complete any 1 of the 14 Medium levels. Beat Medium 10 ![]() Beat 10 Medium levels Complete 10 of the 14 medium levels. Medium Owned 30 ![]() Beat 10 Medium levels without losing a single life! This is easier than it sounds, as you can retry any level if you lose a life. A walkthrough for all medium levels can be found here. Hard Start 7 ![]() Beat any hard level Complete any 1 of the 14 hard levels. Beat Hard 15 ![]() Beat 10 Hard levels Complete 10 of the 14 hard levels. Hard Owned 85 ![]() Beat 10 Hard levels without losing a single life! This is easier than it sounds, as you can retry any level if you lose a life. A walkthrough for all hard levels can be found here. Green Machine 5 ![]() Upgrade a Blaster Tower to level 7 The Blaster Tower is the first turret you get, simply upgrade it to level 7. This is the Green turret, the achievement will unlock when you complete the level. Blue Thunder 5 ![]() Upgrade a Laser Tower to Level 7 The Laser Tower is the second turret you get, simply upgrade it to level 7. This is the Blue turret, the achievement will unlock when you complete the level. Red Menace 5 ![]() Upgrade a Missile Tower to Level 7 The Missile Tower is the third turret you get, simply upgrade it to level 7. This is the Red turret, the achievement will unlock when you complete the level. Shocking And Awe 5 ![]() Upgrade a Shock Tower to Level 7 The Shock Tower is the fourth turret you get, simply upgrade it to level 7. This is the Yellow turret, the achievement will unlock when you complete the level. Flux Vortex 5 ![]() Upgrade a Vortex Tower to Level 7 The Vortex Tower is the last turret you get, simply upgrade it to level 7. This is the multi coloured turret, the achievement will unlock when you complete the level. Close Call 5 ![]() Score a x50 Multiplier Bonus from any Creep You'll no doubt get this achievement without trying on the hard levels. You'll get a x50 multiplier if you kill an enemy just before they reach your base. I had this multiple times, I'll add a video when I find one. Turret Happy 5 ![]() Place one of each Turret on a level that supports all five Turrets Play a level that has all 5 turrets on, and build all 5. The achievement will unlock when you complete the level. The 'Angular View' level in the hard section has all 5 turrets. But you can use any level that has all 5 turrets.

Let's make this viral ![]() Great guide. I alllllllmoost wrote a guide, but yours looks exactly how I'd want to write it, so mission accomplished. Spot on with difficulty and amount of time needed. Nice touch with the header too. Haven't attempted "Hard Owned" yet, my last achievement. Wonder how that's going to go... Seems if you place a ton of towers and then upgrade frantically that does the trick, hopefully that strategy carries over to Hard. I try my best to use my money as fast as possible. Oh, and could you or someone else explain Vortex towers? I don't quite get how they help. Then my final thought/suggestion is to remove "(Thanks to litepink)" in the achievement descriptions. I think since you noted it in the Special Thanks section, and the fact you rolled with the fact that I named a glitch after myself [hopefully people realize I'm just having a little fun with it is all], a thanks isn't needed in each description, the Special Thanks is plenty.

The vortex towers are there to pick up all the little explosions when you kill creeps. When you link a turret to a tower, it charges depending on how much energy is in the vortex. When its at the max, the turret will give off a huge blast instead of a normal one.

Great advice. I had been trying to beat the medium levels without dying. Couldn't do it to save my life. I just breezed through the medium levels only using a few blue towers and a crap ton of green towers.

Yeah, I linked two lasers to a vortex in a chokepoint and the results were astounding. Even better when I used the slow-down tower later on.
You can also link vortexes (vortexi?) together to create an energy beam between the two, although the energy cost isn't really worth it unless you can make them cut through a pathway, and you have lasers for that. But yeah the vortex turret is awesome. Never found the explosion useful though, much prefer linking turrets to a Lv7 vortex to power them up.

BTW for the Hard Achievement, Hard 2 is widely recognized as the hardest level in the game. You only need to beat 10 Hard levels, not all 15, so skip 2 to make your life easier.

also for anyone struggling, install the latest update! as it seems to have made the turret's target area bigger which helps quite a bit.
EDIT: also, for the "Medium Owned" solution you wrote "a walkthrough for all the EASY levels" instead of "medium". Great guide though

For the close call just build a level 2 green turret next to the end point on the first level. you will get it even if you lose. Easy cheevo.

Finally got to 200 as well yesterday by switching to novice mode... was only a few stars away from mastering hard. Heh, that should be an achievement in itself. :P

Wow, should have looked at the guide first. Done the whole thing in Hardcore Mode. Novice would have saved me several level restarts especailly on the the last few Hard ones.

Are people in agreement that this game is still a 3/10? I want to buy it but I have so many games I haven't played I can't be bothered with any more tough ones that take 8+ hours
