The difference is -- I own a PAL box, a JAP box an NTSC and actually consistantly stack games and I've posted quite a few useful tidbits here about stackables.

I don't see how the question was moronic. Maybe I should rephrase it, "How long before the release of a japenese game, on average, does it take to know for certain if a specific game is stackable".

You guys are taking offense because it seemed as if I was asking if the game stacked, in reality I was hoping it stacked and wanted to know around what time frame I could expect to know either way.

Korean version of Bioshock Infinite has not yet been announced. It is unclear whether the game will actually be released here in Korea. It is likely that if it is released it won't be localized meaning no chance for stack.

I was originally going to post this in my previous post, but figured I was going to dig myself a deeper hole and tried to stop this whole trainwreck before it got any worse... So I threw it in a google doc and kept it there just in case someone who wanted to listen PMed me.

How is an achievement list found?

I know why an achievement list stacks... Because a developer submits the same game to microsoft twice, as two entirely different games. However, i'm not sure how you find out if that game is going to stack... It could be done when you find a game on someone's profile, or if it's found using a backdoor method i'm unaware of. I always thought that the game had to be found on someone's profile, but the fact that Mlky Brs found out the wordament (Web) stack without having a profile to link to later makes me think that you are using a backdoor method.

If you are using a backdoor method than the answer to my question would be, "We will know if it stacks when the game hits microsofts game database, and this varies depending upon when the developer submitted it. This is usually XYZ amount of time after the American list is found".

If you find the game by finding it on someone's profile the answer to the question would be, "We will know if the game stacks as soon as we find the game on someone's profile, [Option 1] this is usually right before the foreign version is released due to the fact foreign countries don't get early review copies OR [Option 2] this is usually just around the same time frame as the American as there are foreign review copies".

That's all there was to my question.

I just simply wanted to know when we will know if it stacked, and depending upon my two theories of how you find out how it stacked, it could either be a very definitive time-frame (If you find out it stacks and it's on someones profile) or a completely random, balls to the walls, you have no idea when the fuck it's going to stack (You use a back-door method).

The problem here is you guys thought that my question was about IF Bioshock infinite would stack, when I could care less about that specific game. I cared more about when we could expect to find out EITHER WAY if it stacked. And I planned on using this information for future games.

Also, I thought you banned Conker because he cursed you out? That is specifically agaisnt the rules, and I don't think I ever did anything against the rules.

To answer your question though. There is a method of sorts that a very small amount of people (pants, presumably milky) know of for grabbing the vast majority of the lists. Stacks are occasionally found this way, sometimes they're found randomly when comparing achievements lists (and this is, from what I understand, the only certain way of knowing how they stack (regions, etc.)).

As was said over and over, everyone else in this thread is just as clueless as you are. It could be found out a variety of ways, at any given time, not relative to anything.

Everyone here knew exactly what your question was. Your question was replied to with the simple fact that no one knows anything about stacks (including timing of when they might be found), until they are found.

People have no issues with questions. Asking the same question over and over and over after having received an answer in a thread where the question has already been asked and answered dozens and dozens of times is what stirs up trouble.

Anyway, we do use both methods you've described, and there is STILL no science behind if or when a game's achievement list for any region will show up. We search for new games constantly, in all regions, and when one is found WE POST ABOUT IT. So, again, there is no need to ask for a time frame or if or when or will or why. Just be happy when a game stacks and leave it at that, alright? We don't divulge the methods we use, or new x360a competitors would pop up every day.

I don't think i've ever posted false information. I have posted quite a few helpful tidbits here such as new copies of SoF Australia not stacking and the Sherlock Homes Games on Demand coming up as the EU stack though.

And this is the first and only time i'll ever ask a stupid question (I promise).

Unless it's a rare foreign game you're going to have a hard time selling them. There is a VERY low amount of people that stack games (Look at them on TA usually only 100 - 200 people and majority are from people in the country they stack in). Most of the time, when someone wants a german game, they'll buy it off Ebay.de or Amazon.de.

Your best bet is to find someone who wants the game and sell it to them for a couple dollars below what they go for on ebay.de or amazon.de.
