I feel like I'm alone in saying I hated this book.

I loved the the first book. As soon I started i couldnt put it down but as a series I was very dissapointed. Catching Fire was ok. Not bad but not as good and mockingjay was horrible in my opinion. The biggest let down was the ending. It seemed like it was just thrown together because she just wanted to finish the book already.

I agree they probably could have got a fourth book out of it if they hadn't done that

I don't hate the series ending as badly as other people because Collins really shows the readers that in achieving a lofty goal you can lose everything you set out to save. Katniss entered the Games to save Prim. She wanted a return to normalcy but lost her district, friendship with Gale, etc.

Strangely poetic, in my opinion.

Like a few people have said I felt the strongest of the series was the original book. I enjoyed the second as well but not as much since it seemed to focus a bit more on Katniss' love interests than the first. The last I felt was the weakest because it did seem a bit rushed but I did like a few parts to hit like a brick harsh reality ending that the series was supposed to convey. Kids killing kids in a deathmatch for no valid reason whatsoever. It was supposed to horrify the audience but I heard some people describe how they were happy so-and-so died. I don't know, I lost my train of thought. Good series but the original was definitely the strongest.

Catching Fire to me was better than the Hunger Games but Mockingjay is my least favorite book.
