reinstalled and now the game wont allow me to searxh online matches

I never had a problem when I played it on vista (win8 now). I reinstalled and now all the options for searching have a lock next to them and am unable to access.
I never had a family account and the game is allowed thru the firewall

I have the same problem. Padlocks at quick match, custom game and create match.

I had a family account but got rid of it, but still cant connect to an online match.

Any help appreciated !

I'm having the same problem. Ugh. I was hoping to get a few of the multiplayer achievements before it went away.

Contact Microsoft (NOT Xbox Support... this isn't their kid) and see if they have any suggestions. They "were" in bed with Bungie, so they might refer you to them about this... but MS published Halo 2 for PC, so they "should" take care of it!
