Does starting a new game clear your techniques?

Can someone please tell me if i keep my techniques if i start a new game? I want to start a new one to play on hard so i definitely know what levels etc i have done but don't want to lose my techniques as they will be beneficial on hard.

I browsed the forum and didn't notice anything on it.

Yes, so always choose free play, don't start new game
