Survivor Ribbon?

Did it with a second controller. had them down me 5 times then smashed a to get back up no ribbon. Can it not be done with a second controller? Do i need to get a friend to come in and down me

Make sure all slots are filled, I just did it with a second controller and bots.

With most ribbons you need to set bots to fill.
