I see you found the info on Suicide Boosting but if you're wondering about Vending Machine boosting, it's likely people are comparing Seriously to Bioshock 2's ranking up. Basically in Bioshock 2 you and another person go to a vending machine and do one of two things. 1.) Both of you hack the machine, with one guy in front of the machine constantly hitting it with winterblast so the grenade doesn't pop out or 2.) One person uses telekinesis on the machine, picking up the grenade each time it pops out. You can tape down the L trigger and do something else while the other person gets twice as much hacks (so 1200-1500 suddenly turns into 2500-3000). Alternatively, there is the Turret Hacking where two people hack back and forth on a Turret.

The reason I do that is because I was confused on which Vending Machine thing people were talking about. I had no idea the "original method" was called Vending Machine, considering I'm more familiar with the Bioshock 2 Vending Machine Hack method. Anyways, I kept it just in case anyone is curious on boosting Bioshock 2. BTW Suicide Boosting is a whole lot more efficient, cuts down your time.


Anyways, I've heard the reason Seriously doesn't unlock correctly is due to some title update in 2007-2008 that actually erased the backlog of killcounts for everyone. So say you got 2,000 kills before this Title Update, then you'd need 12,000 in order to get seriously. That means if someone had 9000 then got the update...they'd need close to 20K just to get the thing to unlock. Though if people are 27,000 and still no achievement, then it's likely Seriously was glitched beforehand as well. Hm...

Same here. Over 12,000 kills and no luck. I had less than 1,000 kills legit, have them all in Warzone, never switched consoles, and all but a few matches ended with 6 players since I boosted nearly all of my kills. Is there any other reason that it hasn't unlocked yet?

Disconnects, likely your first thousand had quite a few matches where someone dropped out (likely just before the end so you think they left after the results screen). So that explains most of that thousand..as for the remainder, I know how long boosting this game goes as I sat up for 32+ hours going straight with every group I could find...sometimes someone would disconnect and the host was convinced it didn't matter, so he wanted to complete the match with the kills before that person left...others just left right away, regardless...I unlocked it at 10765. Based on that number and considering all were boosted, pretty much all my disconnected games where we kept playing UNTIL one team one after somebody left didn't count. So as soon as someone leaves, it doesn't count...doesn't matter if it's not the person you're killing, the points don't count. Want to prove me wrong? Use the dummy method, get 5 other Xbox's and have one of the guys on your own team drop out, then kill the other team for 10K kills. Keep doing that and see if it ever unlocks...

Whatever the case, I'm sure you've had a lot more disconnects than you could keep count of (it's a tiresome process, a lot of us go into autopilot when playing) so that would probably explain why you're over 12K.

I always left the disc in, just to be safe. I actually didn't play anything else while I boosted the game...but I believe I took it out once or twice without needing to update after playing again. In fact, I've popped it in three or four times since I got the achievement and still no update. Not sure why it is that some folks have to do updates and others don't, go figure.

To my knowledge, only the original title update from far back would cause any issue with your kills...a lot of folks I boosted with still unlocked theirs just fine even though they title updated every time like you did. So no worries over the updates man.

You can only check kills for "Seriously", you can't see how many frags you have for "Not So Serious".
