I tried it that way. I got an error saying you can't have more than one copy running at a time on the same computer.

I did this for Lost Planet. You can just log in as a different "Windows" user account and use the switch user feature to open a game session under each account. I can't confirm that this does work for Halo though.

I doubt that this method worked for the OP. He used Sandboxie to run multiple copies of the game but I tried that and it wouldn't let my other gamertags join the same game whether I was hosting or if I tried to join a random one. That's not to say that it wouldn't work for other games though.
