Don't forget September 17th!
Hey guys, those of you who missed out on the achievement for playing this on September 17th when the game launched late, and forgot the subsequent year, don't forget Sep 17th is coming up soon.
Otherwise you'll be doomed to 950gs for another year. If you miss it, you may be able to set your time zone back to it's still the 17th. Not entirely sure about that though. |

I set the alarm in my phone three months ago.........gonna try putting the time zone forward so I can get it on the 16.........

Yeah, been waiting for this since... 17/09/09
Not going to complete my 1000G as I still have other achievements to do, but it means that I don't have to wait ANOTHER year to get it ! I'm surprised that there hasn't been a site update on the homepage as a reminder, but there is still time...

Off topic but has anybody had any issues unlocking the Victory or Death achievement? This is unlocked by killing somebody with the Truly Inspired achievement. 3 of us were in a game last night and all of us have Truly Inspired but when we tried to kill each other the achievement didn't unlock.
Is there anything specific to the achievement not noted in the guide or does it not always unlock straightaway? |

Rented the game last year on the 19th unaware of the achievement. Just about kicked myself
Made sure to rent it a week early this year just in case!

Great
 I put in the game and achievement popped up...i checked my GS and saw...50/1000...wtf. Well, I bought the UK uncut version some years ago and because of living in Germany I rented the German version...well...now i have to buy the UK version again to get my last 50 GS next year And I will play though the game a 2nd time to get another 1000GS in the German version!

time zone trick works, i just put it 12 hours ahead and got it, 1000 finally

dont know why but I have the German version of the game I keep pop in the game and it wont give me the achievement what the hell any suggestions.

try adjusting the time on your xbox. set it 12 hrs forward and backward. if it doesn't work, then i dont know

Me. I got this game almost a year ago, finally fired it up in October a couple weeks too late. Had forgotten about the Sept. 17th thing. Don't even know if I'll have the game for it next year. shrug

Just a reminder to everyone who has this game but hasn't got this achievement yet. I bought it last October at GameStop for dirt-cheap and didn't even know about this achievement. I can't wait to get this achievement for my full 1000....and then the next day I'll be playing Borderlands 2!

after 4 yrs of tryin for this and bad things happening...i got it. in the middle of poland on a crappy modem with no service. and i had to mess with my xbox ip address...this is just too much!! lol
