Will I like this game?
Some of my favorite games are zoo tycoon, roller coaster tycoon series. But I dislike the Sims. Is this game really about creating your own city or are your restricted in what you can do like Sims?

From what you said you will love it. I myself hate the sims but loved this. And yes its all about creating a city and managing it along with dealing with international requests, political unrest and society on a whole.

Its nothing really like the sims. In the sims you control a few people and pets. In here you control the whole entire country including Economy, entertainment, foreign affairs, peoples income, tourism, etc. It is pretty similar to tycoon games so i you like them you will like this.

Just picked it up today and I'm hooked
![]() One question, why do my farms stop producing, because of no raw materials?

Make sure you built them on a "Green" area. If it's on a green area, then you might have enough garages or teamster workers to go around to all of your farms/plantations/ranches.

If you see a load of oxes stacking up next to the farm then there isnt enough teamsters to pick up the goods and transport them. I wouldnt worry about farms to much, just make sure you have enough to feed the locals. Focus on mines and salt untill you have a steady income and move onto oil.

I had no problems learning this game's xbox version -- I'm assuming you're asking because you may have played previous versions on the PC, as I have. The console version is a bit less involved than the PC version, but the feel is the same, and the controls are very manageable.

Yes, it's quite manageable. Since it's a simulation game and you spend a lot of time flicking through different menus comparing stats and whatnot. There is no major need for micromanaging individual units/people.

Is this game worth 20 bucks? It's on DOTW and I was considering it even though I typically hate games on demand.
I loved the original Tropico on PC though, worth it in your opinion?

Yes. Get it, I can guarantee you will enjoy it, if you liked the first one.
