The USSR was an empire, but they didn't gas millions of people based on their religion, sexual preference, or skin color. The red, black, and white swastika is the symbol for Nazis. An organization that was full of cold blooded murderers.

And interest in Nazi Germany is one thing. How Hitler came to power and all of that is an interesting subject. But the swastika is representing hate. Period. End of discussion. Sheer hate and the fact that you don't have a problem with it is just pathetic. I've had family fight in WW2. So I'm not some kid who is just trying to stand tall. I'll leave you with that. You are actually factually incorrect. The communists did kill based on factors such as race, and religion. In fact, religious devotees were persecuted under the Soviet union. You are also incorrect about the origin and Hitler's intentions with the swastika.

It's not exclusively a symbol of hate. Your arguments are so rife with red herrings it makes it really hard to take you seriously. Any discussion is just undermined by your appeals to emotion by your vivid language.

The Swastika stands out as the most popular recognizable offensive image and regardless of whatever positivity it originally represented, it's been replaced by ideas of hate. So regardless of what it meant when it represented good, for the right or wrong reasons it's been forever marred. Whether or not other symbols are as bannable in this game just boils down to pecking order of what the most offensive are in the eyes of those who wield the ban hammer over at Treyach. The thing is, they would never be foolish enough to make a top ten list and release it to us so they leave it loosely termed as "offensive" so they can do whatever they please.

But let's not shit ourselves, anybody and I mean every single person who has a Swastika emblem on their profile in this game is doing it to be offesive and disrespectful.

When it's educational it's a different story, It's not as if you play through a campaign as Adolf Hitler, rounding up all the innocent people and murdering them.
It teaches you what shit was really like if anything. We all read about it, see it in films etc but playing through a campaign that indulges such topics raises the situation from a completely different perspective.

There doesn't have to be an educational purpose. Just make sure if you're upset about the nazi flags, report the other political flags as well. Even the American flag represents some form of atrocity such as the treatment of the Native Americans.

You either ban all political flags or you don't ban any at all. Drawing arbitrary lines for what is offensive without a proper analysis as to why is the heart of this controversy and why it's so hypocritical.

The American Flag is associated with a country, not something that Andrew Jackson made up in his spare time. Most people don't know that the Swastika was "borrowed" for it's use in the Nazi regime. It's not hypocritical, it's just what people assume; and sometimes it's better that way. Ignorance is bliss. Being "misinformed" is a service depending on the person.

For the sake of completion, I answered- but it seems pointless to keep talking about something that is truly not worth talking about.

I'm german and I'm jewish. In WW2 my family was murdered by the Nazis almost completely. The whole family consisted of 17 people, most of them lived in Frankfurt and 14 of them got murdered, 12 of them in concentration camps, 2 were beaten to death on the street. Only my grandfather managed it to grab my grandmother and my auntie and move to Kenia in 1940. My father was born in Nairobi in 1946 and soon afterwards those four people moved back to Frankfurt were my grandfather was mainly responsible for reinstalling the jewish community in Frankfurt. I was born in Frankfurt in 1974.

I'm highly offended by people who use Nazi symbols as their logo or their avatar. If you choose something as logo or avatar you are practically saying that you somehow like it/agree with it/think it's cool or whatever you want to call it. You dont choose something because you want to say that you disagree with it.
I play videogames in my free time after work and I don't want to play with individuals who are basically admiring people that killed almost my whole family ...
