Achievement Guide with Videos and Roadmap
![]() Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 3 -Offline: 50 [1000 -Online: 0 [0 -Approximate amount of time to 1000: 26 hours total (20 hours campaign, 6 hours co-op) -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 -Missable achievements: Unheard , Fully Inked -Does difficulty affect achievements?: No -Glitched achievements: People are reporting issues with the Co-op achievements popping. I have not had any problem personally on 2 accounts. Make sure you play through each chapter from the start menu to completion each time. -Unobtainable achievements: None Roadmap: Playthrough #1: This is an open world game so you can do what you want when you want. 1000ing this game will still leave a LOT of world left to explore. Co-Op Campaign: Play through the Co-op story mode either online or local for those 6 achievements. EQUIPMENT Aftermarket Junkie - 20The opening pistol, the 1911, is a required buy at $60 at the start of the game. It has no attachments so you only need to buy 6 camos at $200 each for a total of $1200 for the achievements to unlock. Artsy Craftsy - 10You can get this for crafting the pouches and items you need to hold items. You will need to look up a recipe in the Crafting menu to see what hides you need. Then look at the map and look for the icon that equals that animal. Go to that area and hunt down the animal. You can use the camera to mark them for easier tracking. The achievement will pop as soon as you craft your fifth item. Heartless Pyro - 10The Flamethrower costs $2400 and it is under Specials in the store. I would recommend spending the $250 on the larger fuel tank expansion. Be careful with the flamethrower as you can easily light yourself on fire. Improper Use - 5The Repair Tool costs $400 and it is under Specials in the store. Then use it on an enemy. It will light them on fire and they will eventually die. Money to Burn - 15This is cumulative. You do NOT need to save it all up and spend it once. As soon as you've spent a total of $5000 it will unlock. Needle Exchange - 15Syringes are made in the Crafting Menu using plant materials you have found in the world. The plants all show up on the mini-map and re-spawn when you leave and re-enter an area so making and using 25 syringes is VERY simple. The Good Stuff - 15For this you must first collect 30 Relics. These show up as white vases on the map. Once you have 30 you will unlock a new category under Syringes called Specials. The first one, Untouchable, costs 5 green, 5 blue, and 2 white. Craft it for the achievement. Toxophilite - 10The Recurve Bow costs $925 and it is under Specials in the store. I would suggest doing this on a Outpost or Wanted enemy. If you set a waypoint via the map on the enemies location then you will see your distance to target in the bottom left of the main HUD. Love the Boom - 10Easiest way to do this is to go to a Outpost and let them trigger the alarm. This will bring reinforcements in cars. Wait for one with 4 people in it and BOOM, achievement is unlocked. (TIP CREDIT: PONYPO2001) If you have problems unlocking this with the RPG some people have had success with grenades. Rock Always Wins - 10You throw rocks by pressing Right on the D-Pad. The enemy must not be currently in an alarmed state. You can also NOT kill them. You need to throw the rock, let them investigate, and then fully reset. That counts as 1. You can do this 25 times in a row. Island Paparazzi - 15You bring out the camera by pressing up on the D-Pad. Then you will see skulls above the NPCs to show you have tagged them. Just pull it out whenever you get to a Outpost or WANTED Dead quest and it will unlock very quickly. OUTPOSTS Rebel With a Cause - 10To "Liberate" an Outpost is to simply go in and kill all the enemies. Once everyone is dead, the flag will change and it will move to your possession. Doing so unlocks new quests in the area. Island Liberator - 40There are a total of 34 Outposts. Unheard - 20The opening mission Outpost does not count so head to any other Outpost on the map. Getting the Bow or a Silencer for a weapon will greatly help on this achievement. Most of the Outposts are VERY small. 4 or 5 enemies tops. Last edited by BillyBobTwo; 12-31-2012 at 03:40 PM. |

SIDE MISSIONS As soon as you complete the first Outpost mission as part of the story you will unlock one of each of the side quests. Simply complete each one and you will get all four of these achievements. Bagged and Tagged - 10The Path of the Hunter quests are a series of side quests where you need kill specific animals with a specific gun. You will be directed to a area and the gun will be there. The first one is for killing 5 rabid dogs with a shotgun. When you get to the area be sure to check the mini-map as the hunting area will show up as a greyed out section. Kill all the animals with the required gun and the achievement will be yours. Poacher - 20Certain Path of the Hunter quests are for rare animals. These are needed for the top level crafting recipes. You'll know you are at a rare quest because the poster will show a big red RARE across it. There is one at Camp Murder among many other places. These load into private areas to test your skills. The first one unlocked is just North of the main starting village. It is a takedown challenges. You get bonus points for Silent and Takedown kills. Note that even if you reach the score requirement you still need to finish the challenge alive for the score to count. CO-OP STORY Co-op can be played offline splitscreen or online with a partner. You do need 2 people to start. You can mission select immediately so you can do these in any order. For the achievements to unlock you must start from the menu. You can NOT join in progress. Here We Come - 20Play through the entire chapter starting at the lobby and completing in one run to get the achievement. Can do any chapter at any time on any difficulty. Return to Sender - 20Play through the entire chapter starting at the lobby and completing in one run to get the achievement. Can do any chapter at any time on any difficulty. COLLECTIBLES You can check your progress on the in-game Handbook. You can buy maps in the store for exact locations per area. Archeology 101 - 20There are a total of 120 Relics so you only need to get half. These show up on your mini-map as small vases. Dead Letters - 20There are 20 Letters of the Lost. You need them all. Video Credit to Predni Memory to Spare - 20There are 20 Memory Cards. You need them all. Video Credit to Predni Say Hi to the Internet - 10On the main first island there is a peninsula at the bottom right. On the left side there is a grove of trees right on the beach with a 2 people hanging from trees. On the beach is a head in the sand. Activate the head for the achievement. Watch the video for the exact location. Jungle Journal - 20This includes everything from characters to weapons to wildlife to vehicles. Use and see everything and this will unlock fairly quickly. MISC Fearless or Stupid - 15This is for diving 60m under water. After the third or fourth campaign mission you will unlock the Deep Dive syringe that will give you a time boost of extra breathing. Look for a nice deep blue water area, use the syringe and dive straight down. Free Fall - 5This is to free fall 100m from the sky and pretty much hit the water, deep water. If you live the achievement is yours. Never Saw it Coming - 20You need to buy the Death From Above skill. Zipline is the easiest. There is a outpost in the bottom right called "The Neck's Diner" that has a zipline right next to a stationary enemy. Throw a rock to get his placement just right. Full Bars - 20The Radio Towers have 2 purposes. They unlock more weapons for free and they also show more of the map. There are no enemies involved they are simple climbing puzzles. When you get to the top interact with the box and you will take ownership of the tower. There are a total of 18, you only need 9 for the achievement. Inked Up - 5At each level up you gain a skill point to spend on, wait for it, skills. Each new skill adds to your tatau / tattoo. Fully Inked - 30There are 18 per for a total of 54 skills. The only one you really need to focus on is the Ninja ability as you need to liberate 2 outposts without the alarm going off. So you need to get this skill before liberating all the outposts. If you need points after finishing the campaign there is a island on the bottom left that always has enemies. Check the information section at the end of the guide for a video for it's location. Hunter Hunted - 10The map will show the general location of animals in the world. The first outpost is located in the Komodo Dragon area. These are aggressive and will attack you and other NPCs. Simply look around the area until you find them and kill them with any weapon you desire. Make sure to skin them as the rare skins are needed for high level crafting. The animal has to be actively trying to attack you for the achievement to unlock. Poker Bully - 20A poker game with a 250 buy-in will open up after liberating the top left Outpost called Valka Docks. This is a cumulative total winnings so just keep playing. It totals you up when you quit, not during a poker session. You can find your progress under Handbook. The press X for Statistics and select World. Losses do NOT count against you. There is a also a $1500 poker game as part of the campaign. If you win this you'll get the achievement instantly. CAMPAIGN First Blood - 10This is the achievement for completing the Prologue and will be the first achievement you unlock. Magic Mushroom - 20This is the second campaign achievement that you will unlock. Worst Date Ever - 20This is the third campaign achievement. One of Us - 20Story related. Can't be missed. Hands Off My Stoner - 20Story related. Can't be missed. Retake Wallstreet - 20Story related. Can't be missed. Have I Told You? - 50Story related. Can't be missed. Taken for Granted - 50Story related. Can't be missed. Deep Cover - 20Story related. Can't be missed. Higher Than a Kite - 20Story related. Can't be missed. Poker Night - 50Story related. Can't be missed. What a Trip - 100Story related. Can't be missed. These are all main story achievements and will unlock as you go through the game. I will update with exact order when I get farther into the story. Why didn't you just pull the achievement tiles from your profile on Xbox.com? They're all blank and it looks like shit, sorry to say.
Pretty sure I got 'Never Saw it Coming' when I jumped off a shipping container (located in some of the outposts). You must also have the skill, otherwise you will be falling to your death, or maybe a little scratch. Oh as well, you can miss an achievement. How do you liberate an outpost without triggering the alarm if you have captured all of the outposts?

As far as I know it's a problem with uploading the https files onto this server, since that is what xbox.com uses now. So basically, when you upload the images from xbox.com you will need to remove the s at the end of the http in the image to get it to work properly.

Damn another early guide that's great! I was hoping at least this game would be worth playing for more than 30 hours unlike Hitman but no..

I'm planning to write a guide too, but I have to wait until December 4th.

No I'm just basing my thought off the roadmap, 1000 in 22 hours it says but I guess there may be a few more things to do past the achievements that may add a couple of hours..well I hope.

Great guide so far!
Just thought I would add that I believe the achievement ''Fully Inked'' is also missable. The reason being that some skills have criteria to make them unlockable. One of them has the criteria to take two outposts without being detected. To get unheard you only need one, so would in fact need another one to get all skills. Would be a pain to have to start a new game to re-earn ALL skills if you missed it. Also off-topic but iBuzz7S's comment is rather rude =/ Especially from a mod. To say part of a guide ''looks like shit'' when it has only just begun? And due to an error with the site note the TC =/ |

Good start, but are all the videos necessary. The achievements you have posted them for are extremely easy and don't really need videos. Generally videos are only used to show difficult achievements that can't be described clearly in text.

Never bashed the guide or his efforts in it. Just simply put out there that it looks like shit because all of the achievement tiles are blank. Besides, the site review has been live for a week. They could of pulled those tiles and updated the current ones.
