I wonder how aggressive these zombies are when compared to the likes of 28 Days Later and Walking Dead. The final clip of the trailer with the zombie tower looks... original?

Damn, I was hoping it would be a lot more similar to what the book was like. It seems like all they did was buy the title to attract fans and that's all. But, I will go see it regardless.

Simply two things (top comments and just the truth):
Something about fast running zombies doesn't feel right to me! --> I AM LEGEND 2 The Walking Dead has made all other zombie tales seem second rate. I totally agree with them! |

Two things I hate:
CG people Running zombies This movie has both, and from the trailer, has NOTHING to do with the novel other than the zombies. This flick easily has the potential to the the WORST adaptation ever, and the worst movie of the year. 100% pass for me.

Just recently caught wind of this. Looks really good....
Sure, they are not the standard "Romero Zombies", but I am a sucker for all things Zombie. Not to mention I have sat through some, powerfully, crappy zombie flicks in my day. This one has promise.

I love zombies. I have read and love World war Z. This movie is nothing close to what that book is. The zombies look horrible with cgi. I think this movie is gonna suck. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be good. I just don't think it will be.

Frankly I think it looks terrible.
It looks extremely generic, your typical zombie outbreak. What made World War Z great was how it took place years after the outbreak, and showed how society had started to coexist with the zombie threat. That was great, that was original. Plus the zombie in the film just looks silly. Moving like a tidal wave of people, scaling barriers. Physics don't work like that! Plus it's all computer-generated, which takes any horror out of them. I don't identify as a huge fan of the book, I really liked it but I read it years ago. I'm trying to say there's no bias because the film looks radically different from the book. From a strictly movie perspective this looks destined to fail. Plus there've been issues with production for so long now. I wouldn't criticize it for having Marc Forster as a director (Quantum of Solace wasn't great but it wasn't bad.) but from what I understand he's been seemingly uncomfortable in the role, switching the story up and only deciding what the zombies would be like a few weeks before production started.

Its going to be nothing like the book by the look of it and the CGI looks pretty shoddy. But i don't know why but bits of the trailer gave me the same sort of feeling that the first ten minutes of the 2010 Dawn Of The Dead remake which i though was really good. Also bits kind of remind me of the Day By Day Armageddon books (Which i wish they would do a film for) |

I'm pretty torn on this. I really enjoyed the book, but this trailer is just....eh. I'll probably end up seeing it, but I'm not too excited about that prospect just yet.

Never read the book so I don't know it stacks up to the trailer but at first I liked the look of it. Then the trailer kept playing and it changed my mind some [Wall of zombies, etc]. I'll probably rent this when it comes out or if someone wants me to go with to see it.

This would've fuckin' rocked had they decided to make it like the novel.
Having Brad Pitt writing the history of the outbreak and doing all the zombie shit in flashbacks as the people told him their stories was the way to go. That would've been different and unique. Now it looks like just another zombie-action turd. What a shame.
