i got the scarab achievement at exactly the 60 minute mark. i was playing on blood gulch

Scarab spawned 2nd attempt.

good guide, only thing i changed was using a banshee to pick up the flags

then it went right

not an easy achievement but very do-able

meh. i paid 800 pts each, dont know if i should have look for the new Platinum Hits edition instead...

went to BestBuy and Future Shop, couldnt find it

I did it for the achievements mostly, had fun but not for that long! 800pts is not cheap imo

thanks ive bean having trouble with living loving bug but 45 minutes later i got it and i was prophet on chasms and had just above 4000 suplies when i got it

want to play the dlc but i cannot justify spending 1600msp on dlc for game that has been out for quiet some time now. would any one happen to have an extra code lying around when they bought the platinum hits version. msg me at my GT "soul shadow x2" if u do. the only code i have to trade in return is a sgt johnson code for odst and i have about 6 of them. i know its not worth anything but its all i got to offer and as much help with boostin games if needed.

Less than a half hour to get all those achievements. Got a whole bunch of Ghosts and Elites spawn a few times, but it popper soon enough. The rest came easy as hell. Cheers.

Is there any news on the DLC packs for halo wars becoming deal of the week or lowered in price to 400ms points each? Because i think 1600 ms points (15 euro) is way too expensive for a few extra maps and game modes concidering the full game is for sale in every store for 10 euro. If somebody has a few spare codes for both the DLC packs laying around unused please send me a message. I have a xboxlive one month card for trade just in case.

This is a great guide but only thing I need to clarify now for everyone is that Cutter almost always attacks. He chased me around and beat me to a pulp all 54 times. The 54th time though, I was ready for him. I became the Cutter and built Pelicans.

So yea, I would say be Cutter against Cutter and try to build Pelicans to kick his butt before he kicks yours.

Of course, it might just be me since no one else seems to be complaining.

As a player who has just borrowed this game from a friend (again) Is it worth it for me to get the DLC? I am using this to go for a higher rank in Halo Way point. I have every achievement in Halo 3 and i am only missing 2 in ODST (hoping to get these firefight's this weekend).

The DLC looks like it is necessary for boosting to the general rank, but that is not necessary for my ends. Aside from that is it worth it to get the DLC? does the DLC make the game more fun or better? Thanks for any info you can give me.

I tried for 45 minutes to get it to spawn, every time under 4000. The very first time I had 4k when the reinforcements came - bam, Scarab!

I had about 3200 resources when I got my scarab. I had 25/50 population and was only 14 minutes in. I guess besides your resources and population, it has a lot to do with luck.. which I must have a lot of, haha. (Sorry. I have to boast after how worried I was with everyone saying it took an hour or two. I'm quite relieved.)

haha I bought this game used (platinum edition) almost a year ago from gamestop and didn't realize until a week ago that whoever had it before me never used the included DLC codes, so $25 for the game and the DLC, hellz yea!

Great guide. I haven't played this game in a long time. This will definitely speed things up. Your strategy sounds solid. Halo 4 is making me want to finish up all achievements I didn't do yet for every title...
