Achievements Not Syncing Properly

After beating the game and getting all SP achievements, going into the achievement list on the dashboard shows all SP achievements unlocked (total of 39 of 49) but it only says 32 of 49 and the Gamerscore is way off. Recovering my gamertag has now made it show that I have never unlocked these achievements...WTF?

Get in touch with Xbox Support. There was an update a while back (I forget if it was for the Dashboard or for Xbox.com or whatever it was for...) that caused this error to occur on a widespread level, and they later fixed it in two ways. They worked on the issue interally, but also directly looked into the problem for anyone who provided their gamertag to @XboxSupport on twitter. If Xbox Support over the phone or e-mail can't help with some answer, tweet them with the issue and your gamertag, they should be able to check in to it.
