I'm in need of advice/help from anyone who has this achievement. So far, 8 events is the max for me in a 50 year mission.

Edit: Okay, finally got this one! Quick note of interest, I was unaware that oil spills counted toward this. (duh!) Thought it was all weather related. Finished 46 years w/ 3 oil spills & 7 weather related disasters.

any tips on which island to use??? ive tried this one several times on several maps, with good economies and bad economies but still i can only max out at 7 or 8 disasters....(oil spills included)...

Play Sandbox, Easy, and just play the game. Set it for 50 years, and if you haven't had 10 in those 50, just hit "B" to continue playing until you get it.

Does it still unlock if you continue the game after the allotted number of years? Thanks
