Achievement Guide & Road Map
Hello, this is the first time I'm writing a full guide here, but I've written a couple of achievement solutions posts. When I read a guide, I expect it to be thorough, make no assumptions about my skills or knowledge and be well formatted. With that in mind, I tried my best to write this. Hope it's useful!
Sally's Salon Luxury Edition Achievement Guide and Roadmap by LanEvoIX Roadmap Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10 -Offline: 20/20 200 -Online: 0 -Approximate amount of time to 200: 8 to 10 hours -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (with level replays if needed) -Number of missable achievements: 1 (strictly speaking no achievement is missable, but you can make one pretty much impossible to get in one playthrough, please read below). -Do cheat codes disable achievements? No known cheats -Does difficulty affect achievements? No difficulty setting -Glitchy achievements: none -Unobtainable achievements: none -Extra equipment needed? Windows Phone 7 Introduction: Sally's Salon Luxury edition is a fun and easy time management game. The goal is to manage customers and make them as happy as you can before you "cash" them. Click >>here<< for a review on WP Central for more details. It takes a while to complete the game since there are 75 levels you have to get a perfect grade on, each taking 10 to 15 minutes to finish. You probably won't have any trouble getting 200, but it's possible to get in a sticky situation when it's very difficult to get a perfect grade on a level. Read on to know how to avoid this. Abbreviated Walkthrough: Step 1. Knowing how it works and how to avoid a new playthrough. Alright, let's grasp the game mechanics first, shall we? Hearts - They show how satisfied you customer is with you. If they have 5 hearts when you "cash" them, that's a perfect rating for that customer, if they drop to zero hearts at any given moment, they just get up and leave. You have to avoid that if you want a perfect score!Step 2. Play the game! Now you already know everything you need to know. Just play the game and have a good time. Conclusion: Not much else to add, since this is a simple game, but if you need more clarification, let me know. Last edited by LanEvo; 01-18-2012 at 03:36 PM. |

Achievement Guide Money achievements Starter Purse4 ![]() Earn $3,000. Earn a total of $3,000 during the career. You do not need to have this amount in your wallet, the achievement is based on your game overall earnings. You will get this working on the levels of the first salon "The Mall". Silver Purse6 ![]() Earn $10,000. Earn a total of $10,000 during the career. You do not need to have this amount in your wallet, the achievement is based on your game overall earnings. You will probably get this working on the levels of the second salon "Ski Resort". Golden Purse8 ![]() Earn $25,000. Earn a total of $25,000 during the career. You do not need to have this amount in your wallet, the achievement is based on your game overall earnings. You will probably get this working on the levels of the second salon "Ski Resort". Wealthy Purse10 ![]() Earn $50,000. Earn a total of $50,000 during the career. You do not need to have this amount in your wallet, the achievement is based on your game overall earnings. You will probably get this working on the levels of the third salon "Hotel Ritz". Rich Purse25 ![]() Earn $100,000. Earn a total of $100,000 during the career. You do not need to have this amount in your wallet, the achievement is based on your game overall earnings. You will probably get this working on the levels of the fifth salon "Star Studio", the last one in the basic campaign. Miscellaneous achievements Nice Work10 ![]() Serve 10 customers in one level. This will come quite naturally, and you don't need to serve them with full hearts or anything, you just have to serve any 10 customers on any level. Try to clear the waiting area (brown seats) by moving customers to hair wash (blue seats) or hair cut seats (yellow) as fast as possible, this will allow more customers to come inside if the clock is still showing on the top right corner (if it's a padlock then the salon is closed and customers will not come in anymore). Keep upgrading you salon and buying more seats, the more you have, the easier it gets to serve more customers. Good Work15 ![]() Serve 15 customers in one level. I'd hazard that when you have a fully upgraded salon, you will serve at least 17 customers every level so this will also come quite naturally, and you don't need to serve them with full hearts or anything, you just have to serve any 15 customers on any level. Great Work20 ![]() Serve 20 customers in one level. This (and because game takes a while to finish) is why the game was rated AD 2/10 and not just 1. This is not hard by any measure, but will require you to play reasonably fast. The number of customers per level is not fixed, it's actually limited by your ability to make room for more customers before the store closes. Please refer to the roadmap for tips about the game but, in a nutshell, upgrade your salon, play as fast as you can, and always focus on clearing space on the waiting area. If you finished the game already and want a level to try, I'd suggest the very last one. But to me it came naturally on the 5th salon, while I was just trying to get high scores. Career Progression achievements
Mall Award2 ![]() Complete "The Mall". Complete the first salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 10 levels on this salon. Resort Award2 ![]() Complete "Ski Resort". Complete the second salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 10 levels on this salon. Hotel Award4 ![]() Complete "Hotel Ritz". Complete the third salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 10 levels on this salon. Beach Award4 ![]() Complete "Ocean Pier". Complete the fourth salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 10 levels on this salon. Chain Manager10 ![]() Complete the basic campaign. Complete the fifth salon, "Star Studio". Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 10 levels on this salon. Mountain Award2 ![]() Complete "Mountain Town". Complete the sixth salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 5 levels on this salon. Big City Award4 ![]() Complete "Big City". Complete the seventh salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 5 levels on this salon. City Center Award6 ![]() Complete "City Center". Complete the eighth salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 5 levels on this salon. Ocean Award8 ![]() Complete "Ocean Resort". Complete the ninth salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 5 levels on this salon. Salon Manager10 ![]() Complete all levels. Complete the tenth salon. Campaign progression, can't miss it. There are 5 levels on this salon. Score/Grade achievements Salon Expert20 ![]() Complete all levels expertly. To get this one you'll have to get an Expert score on every one of the 75 levels. I highly recommend going for perfect first to avoid having a very high score with expert rating, thus making it very difficult to beat and get perfect at the same time. Salon Master30 ![]() Complete all levels perfectly. To get this, you'll have to get a Perfect score on every one of the 75 levels. To get a Perfect, you need two things: 1. Earn a certain amount of money on the level. 2. Serve all customers with full hearts. They've got to have 5 hearts above their heads when you receive their payments. Important: Please refer to the roadmap to avoid being in a situation where you can't get a Perfect score, and on general tips about how to play the game well. I'm finding the challenge levels after the main story to be a pain.
There's always one person that starts with 3 hearts and only wants 1 thing done (quick cut) so the total hearts only goes up to 4/5 when theyre checking out. Any tips there from anybody? Or is it all luck? |

Have you been giving out your coffee? You can give one or more cups to each customer.

Damnit, I have been in the middle of writing a guide over the last week and now I come back only to find this! I'm never going to get to write an achievement guide at this rate

Just an example of a good way to do an achievement. Achievements you will get along the way automatically while going for a different one, should usually be listed to just see the main one. This will clean up your guide and make it much less exhausting to read through. They see that and know automatically they can skip ahead to that description and get all of the info in one.
If this helps, the main story took a little over 5 hours for me to complete. I had to do a couple over, so it can be done in 5 hours. I was able to get perfect scores on almost every level. I'm just now getting to the extra stages which look much shorter. Starter Purse 4 ![]() Earn $3,000. See "Rich Purse" achievement description. ---Racxie--- Spider Jack still needs a guide. Not sure if anyone started one. Last edited by Tyger7; 01-25-2012 at 07:38 AM. |

I dislike this specially on the guide page, where I tend to read them one at a time sequentially, or when the info is all grouped on the first achievement of the batch, which is hidden if you use the check-boxes like I do. I assume I'm on the minority here, so I'll edit to make it more appealing to the majority. Thanks! |

I'll give Spider Jack a try, but I can't imagine myself buying it as it just seems to be a variation of Cut the Rope, and personally I hate all of those types of games (Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump etc.). I love achievements but not enough to play games I don't enjoy. To me it's more about the completion than the numbers (but numbers are still nice!).

No need to have full explanations. What you can do, is tell people when to expect to get them. Like saying you should get the X amount of kills by X level.

Thanks for the guide. Loved this game. Easy 200. It does get a little repetitive though. I have not really found much difference between the individual stages of each salon. The characters that come in seem to be random for the most part. Did they really need 10 stages that are nearly identical per salon? And once you fully upgrade in the fourth stage, the fifth stage is exactly the same as the fourth.

Not sure if this has been patched since the guide was written, but I can get a Perfect score even if my score is lesser than my previously-set Expert score. Or at least, that's what it shows in-game.
