Introduction
Roll in a Hole is a 2-D physics-based puzzle game that has you rolling a ball-like panda through a series of 120 levels towards the usually inconveniently-located exit portal. Additionally, on-route to the exit are 3 lollipops that can be collected. The challenge lies in finding the best path through the level to collect all 3 lollipops and then to the exit. It features both touch screen and tilt controls, which is always a plus. Currently the game is listed at $0.99 in the Marketplace.

Step 1: Collect all lollipops (11 achievements for 200 )
Play through all the levels starting from the beginning, collecting all three lollipops on each level as you go. After collecting all three lollipops on each level, you will have completed the game.

Conclusion
If you are a fan of physics-based puzzle games, quick and easy completions, or $0.99 games, you must pick up Roll in a Hole. Most of the levels are not that challenging and only a select few require a significant amount of re-tries. The game can be completed in about two hours and unfortunately offers little replay value.

*GLITCH WARNINGS*

1) It seems that if you complete a level and DO NOT collect all three lollipops and then move to the next level, you may never be able to get those lollipops again. When you retry the level, the game sometimes will not save your progress from collecting the remaining lollipops, which means you will not be able to obtain the "All lollipops" achievement. To avoid this glitch, never move to the next level until you get ALL THREE lollipops on the current level. See THIS THREAD for more information.

2) Some players report that if you back out of the game using the windows button or your battery dies while playing that your save file will become corrupt, effectively forcing you to start over from scratch. To avoid this glitch, be careful not to hit the touch sensitive hardware buttons and make sure your battery is not dying while playing. See THIS THREAD for more information.


GUIDE

COMPLETION ACHIEVEMENTS (5 for 100 )

The following 5 achievements are obtained just by completing every level in the game.

World 1 - 20
Complete all levels of World 1.

See "World 5."

World 2 - 20
Complete all levels of World 2.

See "World 5."

World 3 - 20
Complete all levels of World 3.

See "World 5."

World 4 - 20
Complete all levels of World 4.

See "World 5."

World 5 - 20
Complete all levels of World 5.

These achievements only require you to complete every level of each world. To complete a level, you only have to get to the blue swirly exit portal. You do not have to collect any lollipops. You will get these while you are collecting all three lollipops on each level of the game.

TIP: Sometimes the touch screen controls do not provide the necessary power to complete some of the levels. If you are having a problem, push the pause button (top left) in game and tap the button that changes to the controls to tilt. However, tilt controls are a lot less sensitive than the touch controls, so I only recommend switching it when you need the boost.

*GLITCH* Upon completion of the last level of World 5, this achievement may not unlock. Once it takes you back to the main menu, just select the Play option again, which takes you to the World selection screen, and the achievement should unlock.


LOLLIPOP ACHIEVEMENTS (6 for 100 )

The following 6 achievements are obtained just by collecting all three lollipops on all 120 levels of the game and the three in the credits.

15 lollipops - 10
Find and collect 15 lollipops.

See "All lollipops."

40 lollipops - 10
Find and collect 40 lollipops.

See "All lollipops."

80 lollipops - 10
Find and collect 80 lollipops.

See "All lollipops."

160 lollipops - 20
Find and collect 160 lollipops.

See "All lollipops."

240 lollipops - 20
Find and collect 240 lollipops.

See "All lollipops."

All lollipops - 30
Find and collect 363 lollipops.

These achievements are obtained just by collecting all 3 lollipops on each level. Once you gather the lollipops in a level, you must make it to the exit portal for them to count. There are a total of 120 levels, with 3 lollipops per level, totaling 360 lollipops.

The final 3 lollipops for the achievement must be collected in the credits. From the Main Menu, select "Help and Options", then choose the option that looks like three people. Once in the credits, roll the panda to the left, picking up the three lollipops and exit through the portal. Thanks to StolenPaper18 for this info.

You can also just replay the last level again after collecting your 360th lollipop, collecting the final 3 lollipops again and the achievement should unlock as well.

Ok did you get the achievement to pop by collecting the lollipops in the credits?

In my game the credits didnt roll at the end of the game, it was just a picture of a *SPOILER??* panda eating the Popsicle, and then it boots you to the main menu. I thought the achievement glitched. I went back to the last level and collected the final three popsicles again and it unlocked.

I can confirm that the three lollipops in the credits count. I collected the three in the credits before i finished the game and the achievement popped when I collected the last one in the final level.

Thanks. Never noticed those. Did you have any trouble getting the World 5 achievement to unlock. It didnt unlock for me right away, I had to go back into the world selection from the main menu once the game was completed.

Anytime. Yea, I had to do the same thing as you for the world 5 achievement. It had me worried for a second when it didnt pop right away, lol.

This happened to me..... I went back into the last level again after completing the game and when I got the 1st lollipop the last achievement for lollipops unlocked

Both cases appear to be true. You can either collect the additional 3 lollipops in the credits screen, in which they will actually add to your total shown in the world select screen....or you can just replay the last level of the game upon collecting the 360th lollipop and the achievement should unlock as well, though this is technically the glitchy way to unlock it.

How can you say that the way I got the achievement is not true? lol It makes more sense that getting the extra three lollipops in the credits is the intended way to get the achievement. Otherwise, why would they be there?

But, doesn't matter to me how people get the achievement. I was just adding what I found.

It doesn't help when the guide says the final 3 lollipops MUST be gotten from the credits screen when you can finish the game without doing it that way

Updated the achievement difficulty to 2/10 from 3/10. This game is quite easier than iBlast Moki and Monster Island.

I did enjoy it, mostly because it was simple and not frustrating. Although, to get real value out of it, you should try to get gold on all levels, but with no achievement for that, there is just no motivation (at least for me). And what is up with the whack leaderboards in this game. They create fake weird people to show on you leaderboard and only take part of you actual friend's gamertags to display. So random. Like I would actually get any satisfaction from getting a higher score than a fictional friend.

Not true. I got all 200 gamerscore without ever turning tilt controls on. Touch screen only.

On a side note, I got the 360 in-world lollipops before going to the credits then grabbed the three in the credits afterwards and unlocked the achievement there, so those definitely are the ones intended for the achievement.

I didnt say it wasnt possible to use touch controls to complete the levels, I am simply stating that sometimes it may be easier to use the tilt controls.

It has already been said the three in the credits are those intended for the achievement as they are the ones that actually add towards the counter in game. The guide also just mentions that you can get them by playing another level after collecting all 360 to also unlock it. Since more than likely you would do that before you would think to look at the credits in a hidden menu

Has anyone else gotten the save game error when starting up the game? It won't let me play anymore and kicks me back to the Xbox Live main menu whenever I attempt to start Roll in the Hole.

On another forum, one other person had the same problem, so it's not just me.

I was only a few lollipops away from completing the game, and really do not want to go through and collect them all again.
