Sequel?

Does anyone know if there is a sequel in the works? I really enjoyed this game and it was a great multiplayer experience.

It's called "Red Dead Rebellion", according to this guy who had some leaked information which I presume never turned out to be true.

But Rockstar did comment on sequels to their games and said that they like to take time with 'em. So who knows if we will get a sequel or not.

I'd prefer they took their time, rather than rushing one out with tons of glitches and problems. I am surprised they didn't start another one, when they saw how well RDR went over.

Look how long Bully 2 is taking. And then look how long Red Dead Redemption took. And with them working on GTA5 at the moment, I doubt you'll hear anything soon.

But a sequel would be awesome. One of my favorite 360 games.

I don't feel they should make another one unless they can improve multiplayer. Free roam was great but the rest really wasn't, people killing you in one shot while you're missing or constantly shooting them. Single player was one of the best in any game I had played. They should do a prequel because if I remember as the game progress the days of being a bandit were coming to a end as the government was forming, so to do another game after this wouldn't seem right.

Multiplayer wasn't great, but it wasn't all that bad. It's a definite improvement from GTA 4's multiplayer. Theres still work to be done for Rock*'s games online play though.

What about if they did a re-release of Red Dead Revolver? I loved that game on the original xbox and this could hold the Red Dead fans over till the new console comes out. Wouldnt you expect them to release the new Red Dead on the new console?

Anyways Red Dead Revolver was one of the most fun campaigns I have played before. The multiplayer wasnt too bad either.

We don't even know when it's coming, only rumour of it being soon. It's also like saying why doesnt CoD / Halo / Gears etc hold of their new releases until the next console.

Yea I know that we dont even know when its coming, but Red Dead is different than COD. I wouldn't put Halo in the same category as COD. COD has a new title out every year. Halo takes a few years to make a game so it would make sense that Halo 4 is the last Halo made on the current console.

I was just thinking that unless they are 1/3 or 1/2 done with this rumored new Red Dead game, I would think they would just wait and make it come out on the new console (whenever that may be...I'm thinking 2014).

But I would love if it came out on the 360 as I will not buy a new console again.

It was better than GTA 4's MP for sure. There were many flaws with RDR's MP that hopefully they learn from for future games.
