Microsoft Points
Just a question, I logged on to Age of Empires Online today and it said you can now purchase Empire Points through Games for Windows Live. My question is can you now once again use Microsoft Points to download content?

425 Empire Points (400MSP) 900 Empire Points (800MSP) 2500 Empire Points (2000MSP) 5500 Empire Points (4000MSP) With those you can then purchase Pro/Premium Civilizations, Skirmisher Boosters Pack, and so on and so forth. Have not purchased any, but the option is available now (Whereas it was not before).

Not correct!
2500 Empire Points costs exactly 2160 Points and 5500 costs 4240 MP! (This is quiet stupid, i know) Last edited by OttomanC3N9; 07-31-2012 at 05:57 AM. Reason: My mistake! Not 4020 MP! |

Weird, because I had the game collapsed when I was typing the info out. Double checking and everything. Do not know why it would appear different...??? Edit: Screenshots...... ![]()

All of a sudden I want to punch Microsoft, but then again this is by choice.
I find it odd how an MMO currency takes up 6mb though. That's new to me.

What a shit. Just because the euro has a bigger market value, it's more expensive for me? Anyway the 60 points extra is not bad at all. |

It is in game, once you are in your Capital City. There is a little "Add Empire Points" button towards the top right of the screen. I am not sure if there is any way to add points.

Are you talking about that little Empire Points button with the +? Because when I click it, it still wants me to use steam points

That is the button I am referring to. Did you install the game via GFWL, or Steam? Because I installed via GFWL, not Steam.

Wtf? The actual points cost different per country to match the difference, why the hell are they now changing the actual cost aswell?
In New Zealand, it is $16.50 per 1000

Update: The IPs costs as much as Kraizeeman said. 2000 MP for 2500 IP and 4000 MP for 5500 IP. I don't know what happened but it's good that they are a little bit cheaper now.

Yes, as you can read that in the Launcher, but the old prices are shown, when you klick "add points" so i guess they will update the function later.
