Just a question, I logged on to Age of Empires Online today and it said you can now purchase Empire Points through Games for Windows Live. My question is can you now once again use Microsoft Points to download content?

Well, in a way...yes. You use Microsoft Points to purchase Empire Points, and in turn, use them to purchase content.

425 Empire Points (400MSP)
900 Empire Points (800MSP)
2500 Empire Points (2000MSP)
5500 Empire Points (4000MSP)

With those you can then purchase Pro/Premium Civilizations, Skirmisher Boosters Pack, and so on and so forth.

Have not purchased any, but the option is available now (Whereas it was not before).

2500 Empire Points costs exactly 2160 Points and 5500 costs 4240 MP! (This is quiet stupid, i know)

It is in game, once you are in your Capital City. There is a little "Add Empire Points" button towards the top right of the screen. I am not sure if there is any way to add points.

That is the button I am referring to. Did you install the game via GFWL, or Steam? Because I installed via GFWL, not Steam.

Update: The IPs costs as much as Kraizeeman said. 2000 MP for 2500 IP and 4000 MP for 5500 IP. I don't know what happened but it's good that they are a little bit cheaper now.

In New Zealand, it is $16.50 per 1000
16,50 NZD are 10€ for 1000 Points i think this is quite more. I pay 10€ for a 800 Points card

yes but it will take sometime to get the first Civ, but after that it goes alot faster for the other
