Just based on my experiences, I found using Arkansas St. the easiest. They are a fairly decent B-rated team playing in a weak Sun Belt conference. They play two FCS teams early on their schedule and I just ripped them to shreds then just simulated the other games.

Freshman difficulty, 100 sliders everything user, 0 sliders everything (except punt due to Desmond Howard) for CPU.

With the QB's, I managed to get on average close to 2800 yards in the two games combined vs. the FCS teams w/ Arkansas State.

With the RB's, I managed to get almost 2000 in the two games combined vs. the FCS teams w/ Arkansas State.

But Desmond Howard is just a complete pain for me. Maybe its because I hate the WR camera angle so much. But, I hate all the camera angles in RTG and Heisman. Kind of wish they gave you the default. Currently on my FIFTH TRY on Desmond Howard. Can't count how many times I wanted to ninja star my controller to the TV when I just get open and my QB decides to fricken SCRAMBLE! Getting open doesn't mean anything anymore for QB's, does it?

EDIT: Also, probably not a big deal but I put every offensive penalty slider to 0 and RTP 0.

I do not see how you can do the Heisman Challenges in less than 20 minutes. A 5 min qtr game averages an 50 minutes to an hour with no simulating. Am I missing something?

For most of the Heisman Challenges you really just need to sim until the last game and boost your stats. It's set up like Road To Glory, where you only play as your player. I got all of them doing this: following Reps guide of using Alabama, simming until the game against the FCS school, checking where my player is on the Heisman watch after that game & if neccesary playing the last game of the season against Auburn (if my player wasn't in first place). It takes about 20-25 mins. The only player I needed two games for was Desmond Howard.

Something else I noticed is if you reach 2 or 3 of your Heisman goals you will win it without a problem.

Okay for the read and react achievement I edited the 7 foot SS from Texas and I keep getting the same play but they have 3 wide receivers running streaks down the field and the QB always throws it to them and I get there and use reaction time and get the interception but the achievement does not pop? any suggestions? This is my last achievement!!

Found this in the PS3T.org forum. A few people posted and said it worked, I haven't personally tried it yet.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/2902566-post54.html

Quote:
Finally got it. For those who are having trouble this is what I did:

1. Pick Texas Tech and edit a CB's stats to 99 for everything in Edit Roster under Team Management. Make him 7'0.
2. Edit QB's throwing power to 0.
3. Edit ALL OTHER CBs, FSs, and SSs to 0 for Catching, Spectacular Catch, Catch in Traffic, and Jumping. Also make them 5'5. (You don't want to almost catch the ball just to have one of your annoying CPU teammates catch it.)
4. Edit ALL OTHER WRs to 0 Jumping and Catch in Traffic. For Speed, Agility, and Acceleration, I decreased their stats to under 40 to make their overall 40. Also make them 5'5.
5. Start RTG mode. Make it Freshman difficulty with 100 Interception for User and 0 for everything CPU except Pass Blocking. Make that 100 (Prevents Sacks). Save RTG.
6. Do practice mode and don't touch the controller. Let the computer do all the movement for you. When the QB makes a pass in your direction, hold L2 ( on the 360) and press ( on the 360).

Because you edited everyone else's Jumping and Catch stats to 0 and height to 5'5, no one should interfere with you catching the ball. I got the trophy about 8 plays into practice the first time I tried going for the trophy with these adjustments. Good luck and happy hunting!

for the Video/photo uploading achievement Just to confirm you DO NOT need to have the EA Pass or 2 day trial to unlock this achievement. You connect to the servers no matter what your online pass status is

Also for the howard achievement try super simming each game. What i did was start the game if i got the ball first I would try to return the kick off. than super sim the game.

I've also noticed if you have 3 out of the 4 challenges done you are pretty much garenteed the achievement.

What I did for RGIII sanders palmer and flutie was played on the team the won the heiesman on. But then I noticed that Florida state plays 2 FCS schools at the beginging of the season. Play both of those games and rack up as many challenges as you can. Save the game! If you need to play the 3rd game but save after the first 2 games. you should be getting close to 900/1000 yards per game.

Odd glitch happend to me with Eddie George though. I was playing the second FCS team with Florida state and was in the 4th quarter I had pretty much completed the challenges so I super simmed the rest of the game, I had close to 1100 rushing yards. But when I simmed to the end of the game I ended with -986 yards. I wasn't sure what to do so I didn't save but simmed to the end of the season ending with just 198 yards for the season but the other 3 challenges were done still got the heisman.

In reality, 15 of the 36 achievements are new... the four Dynasty recruiting achievements, Read & React and the 10 Heisman ones.

I consider the Heisman ones new since they can only be unlocked in the Heisman Challenge (at first) and they are considered different than the actual Heisman achievement from every previous year that you had to get in either Dynasty of Road to Glory.

Yet, I guess it is possible you can get these 10 if you play through the entire Heisman Challenge "season", don't get the achievement and unlock each player in Road to Glory. But, are the players unlocked at the end of the Challenge if you don't get the Heisman achievement...? If they only unlock if you get the Heisman achievements, then what's the point?

Win the National Championship in year 1 of Dynasty with either UMASS, UTSA, or Texas State.

This is what I did for this achievement:

Start up a Dynasty with Texas State and create a custom schedule. Change the schedule to match the teams that I have selected to play against. You need to create matches against top ranked teams in order for you to get a chance to play in the BCS Championship.

1: Alabama
2: USC
3: Open
4: Michigan
5: LSU
6: Boise State
8: Open
12: Georgia

Now is the time to edit some of your players on your roster. Scroll over to the Team Management menu and go down to Edit Roster. Edit your QB, HB, 3 WRs, and your Center stats to increase their rating to 99.

Another definite way to win when simulating is by editing the other team's Quarterback. At the Edit Roster screen, press and hold and you can select other teams in the league. Find the team you play next and edit their QB's Awareness, Throw Power, and Throw Accuracy down to zero.

You MUST play and win the BSC game in order for the achievement to unlock. Simulating the game will not work.
FYI You can SUPER SIM when you enter the game. Just make sure you win and the achievement unlocks

I would assume they're on the team you put them on for the Heisman Challenge, or maybe their original team?

Ok so after spending hours trying to get the Read and React achievement, I think I might have figured out why people are having trouble unlocking the achievement. After spending countless hours trying for the achievement (playing the 1st practice, reloading my saves, and replaying), I decided to try not reloading my saves. So I repeated my all of my RTG profiles and started another one using the same strategy that have been mentioned (editing a CB to 7' with Max stats and lowering everyone else's). I didn' catch any INT on the first practice, so I simmed to the next week. The first INT I caught unlocked the achievement.

So to sum this all up, do not reload your saves, just Sim to the next week and play the practice until you get an INT.

I dont know if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but if you're doing any of the heisman or RTG stuff, when you get the option to change the play and you dont like any of the plays they offer, you can switch them.

Hit RB to go into sim settings, and then hit B before simming any plays to go back into the play selection and you'll have a new set to pick from. The original play will the be the same, but the 2 extra options you get will have changed. Works nice when my coach is being a dick and trying to not give me the ball 100% of the time.

Overview:

  • Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10
  • Offline: 34 (980)
  • Online: 2 (20)
  • Approximate amount of time to 200/1000: 15 - 20 Hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3 (Dynasty and RTG Mode. These can all be simulated.)
  • Number of missable achievements: None
  • Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No Cheats
  • Does difficulty affect achievements?: You will need to play on Heisman difficulty for the "Unstoppable" achievement.
  • Glitchy achievements: 1 (Read and React)
  • Unobtainable achievements: None
  • Extra equipment needed?: Not needed, but two controllers will make some achievements easier to obtain.
  • Online Pass?: Yes. (There's a Two-Day free trial)

Step 1: Dynasty Mode

You can either do this the long way, or you can do it my way and save another playthrough. If you're going to do it my way, these are the achievements that you will unlock during the process.
  • Living Legend
  • Dual Threat Coach
  • Dream Job
  • Let's Do It Again
  • Hometown Hero
  • And the Winner Is...
  • Best Class Ever
  • Go Ahead, Ask me Anything
  • No Regrets
  • Look at the Game Tape!

First, start up a Dynasty with a created coach and set his Alma Mater as Alabama. Make sure you sign as a Head Coach to Alabama on the next screen. Doing this will net you the "Dream Job" achievement in the process. Next up, you're going to want to start recruiting some prospects. Head into the Recruiting Board screen and select search from the menu. Go down and change the caliber to four stars and click search to continue. Go down the list and target each prospect with an interest of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Do this for every five and four star prospect until you fill up your recruiting board.

Once finished, back out of the board and start your season. Now head into the Recruiting Menu and select Recruiting Board. We will now be unlocking the "Look at the Game Tape!" and "Go Ahead, Ask me Anything" achievements. Select a prospect and choose to scout him for 50 or 60 minutes. If a player only has 30 minutes, go back into the list and find another player that can do 50 or 60 minutes. You should unlock 5 or more attributes after scouting the player and will unlock the "Look at the Game Tape!" achievement. Now head back and find another player that has a very high interest in your school. Select "Call Prospect" and choose 1 Topic (10 Minutes). From the "Choose Pitch" screen, select "Prospect's Choice". You should gain a minimum of 75 recruiting points and will unlock the "Go Ahead, Ask me Anything" achievement. If you don't get enough points, back out and find another player to do it with. Before you start playing, head over to the "Dynasty House Rules" menu and change the Recruiting Difficulty to Freshman.

Once all of the recruiting is finished, you're going to want to start your Dynasty! Basically, you have two choices. You can either have fun and play the Dynasty, and also unlock a few achievements on the way, or you can simulate your season and be done with it. If you're simulating, please do this before doing so. Head into the "My NCAA" menu and scroll down and click on "System Settings". From there, set Autosave to "OFF". Now back out and save your Dynasty. This way if you lose a game when simulating, you can always quit out of Dynasty and revert back to your old save. You're going to want to have an undefeated season!

Once you have finished the regular season, you should be undefeated and have a chance to play in the BCS bowl. On the way, you should have players committing to your school which will help your recruiting class ranking. Now is the time to play in the BCS Championship. You will need to actually PLAY the game for the achievement to unlock; simulating will not work. Once you have finished playing the championship and completed the season, you should have unlocked the "Dual Threat Coach", "Living Legend", "Best Class Ever" and "Hometown Hero" achievements.

Now is the time to start your off-season. This is where we will be unlocking the "No Regrets" achievement. Please refer to that achievement in the guide for info on how to unlock that.

You will now need to start up another Dynasty in order to unlock the "Welcome to the Club" achievement". This can either be unlocked with UMASS, UTSA, or Texas State. Please refer to that achievement in the guide for an easy way on how to unlock it.

Step 2: Road to Glory Mode

This mode shouldn't take more than several hours to complete. The only real time consuming achievement is "Earn My Trust", which is obtained after reaching the max coach trust level. You should unlock this before completing your first season in your college career. The other achievements tied to this mode will be unlocked by progressing through your career. Refer to any of the achievements in the guide below if you need any extra help.

Step 3: Heisman Challenge Mode + Mop Up

Luckily, each Heisman Challenge can be completed in under 15 minutes by simulating most of the season. You will be able to get number 1 on the Heisman rankings by only playing one or two games during the season. Here's what I had done to complete each one:

Start up a Heisman Challenge and choose your team as Alabama. Any team is perfectly fine, but I had chosen Alabama since it will be easy to win most games when simulating. Simulate to Game 12 or 13 of your season. You should have acquired some stats from simulating to help a little in the Heisman race. Simply do your best the last few games and you should be number one in the race. I had my difficulty set to easy and usually scored over 500+ yards and 5+ touchdowns when doing so.

You shouldn't have that many miscellaneous achievements left after playing the two game-modes. If you happen to do so, please refer to the achievement listed in the guide below.

Conclusion

With the help of simulating, most of these achievements can be unlocked without playing a whole lot of the game. You shouldn't run into any trouble on your way to 1000. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the game!

great guide appreciate it

Dual Threat Coach Achievement Help

This achievement isn't too bad. Here is what I did (I don't recommend doing this, but it is possible):

Winning the BCS:
I started my season with UNC. I customized my schedule so I played the highest ranked teams every week. This got me to be #3 for the last game of the season. If this happens, just play as the teams that are ahead of you and purposely lose. Then I became #1 and won the championship. This can be done with any team, but I don't recommend using UNC because they aren't a top football school.

Top Recruiting Class:
I never created any custom people, so it can be done without this. Once again, don't use UNC. I am honestly surprised I got it with my first season with UNC. But just look up a search of at least 3 star recruits, with top 8 interest in your school. Then carry on from there. I found that making 3 easy promises to every player (the same promises for all players) will get a lot of attention. Do the promises: "make top 10 first year, win Conference Championship, and winning record vs rivals." These are easy to complete. Then go ahead and send the 4 star or higher recruits scholarships during the first few weeks. It is detailed from here on out, but basically just make pitches to find a few strong points between the team and player, and continue to make pitches for those every week and to compare to the other schools who want to recruit that player.

I have a question about the Heismen achs in your roadmap. You say to use Alabama for each one, do you just trade the needed player to that team? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: Never mind, found the section in the menus.
