Story Prediction/Discussion

Well, I'd thought that some might like to see a thread like this for when a new episode arrives. Predict the story, see if we're right, and all that jazz.

Here is some brief discussion in a "rewind theater" of a sneak peek at episode 3. This was seen at the end of episode 2.

Kenny and Lilly seem like they're only going to be getting worse, and they're both going to try to rely on Lee for support. I believe either Lilly or Kenny will die in episode 3, depending on your choice (Can't Save 'em All achievement). There's also a definite probability that the group could run into another band of survivors, or maybe even hear from Glenn, after taking a look at the final achievement for the episode (Lend Me Your Ears).

I think Episode 3 will be about the growing schism amongst the group and the parting of ways between the survivors. It's made a bit more obvious since Kenny even says that some of them are going to want to part ways after the ordeal at the St. John farm.

i wonder if they'll off Duck before this is all over, that kid can't have many more close calls in him. i wonder if they'll actually have it in them to kill off a kid, i mean we haven't even seen any child walkers, so to actually have one of the little ones be eatten would be pretty huge...and obviously Clem is sticking around till the end so it won't be her

I hope to see the relationship between Lee and Clementine develop, perhaps have Lee make some difficult sacrifice for her.

Also, up until this point (I know its early) our decisions haven't actually had a big impact on the story. Sure we can choose who to save and who to side with but ultimately the story is the exact same, with the only difference being the characters involved.
For example, no matter if you saved Doug or Carly in episode 1, they both save Duck in episode 2, just in different ways.

And whether or not we choose to save the guy in the bear trap or leave him we still end up taking two people back and both of them serve the exact same fate.

What I'm saying is, I'd like to have decisions that actually have an impact on the story, rather than just alternative characters involved.

i hope to make more hard choices to see what will happen and i hope the story will get better, and so far each episode is great.

^^spot on. Judging solely from the achievement tiles I would say the feud between Lilly and Kenny get's worse (Bad Blood), which leads to Kenny leaving with his family (Hit The Road). Lee and Lilly won't fair any better and she will head off for Woodbury (Woodbury Bound) although given what she ends up doing later I wish we could rip her stupid head off and feed it to a walker.

If you look at your episode lists in game I believe the image for episode 3 shows the train (Rumbling Down the Tracks) and it shows the new kid Ben standing on the front, he would be my guess for the death (Can't Save em' All) possibly another choice between the kid and Carly.

For the last one I think the OP is probably right, we may run into Glenn. The first achievement for chapter 4 (Georgia's First City) seems to support that too because it's Atlanta where Rick runs into Glenn first.

So far I am loving this game, I agree with Battery though, your choices should hold more weight.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't really follow the comics. Guess I should now.

In a way, I hope he will make a cameo, a la Glenn, but I don't see that happening. My gut just says no.

Good point. In that episode list/panel thing for episode 3, who's that kinda peeking out to the train's right side? Duck? I can't really tell. I'm hoping it's more of a choice between saving Ben and Duck, if there is one. The two of them haven't been especially useful.
I hope Glenn will make a brief return. He's my favorite.

SPOILERS FOLLOW. THIS IS SPECULATION (by yours truly):

Goodbye, She Quietly Says - First chapter is usually short. Zombies will probably attacked. I think it'd be interesting if Katjaa or Duck turns and gets sniped by Lilly. It would explain the next portion
Bad Blood - continuing argument between the two. Lee has to calm them down, and reasons that there's nothing that could have been done. They all decide to head out of town. Suddenly, two bandits from the group in episode 2 attack, claiming that the food from the end of episode 2 was theirs. Your group kills them and takes their weapons. One character finds an RV that belongs to them. The group decides to use it to hightail it out of there.
Hit The Road - Everyone is in an RV. You can walk around and talk with each of the characters.
Woodbury Bound - Suddenly the RV has issues (gas runs out, tire pops, etc.). You're forced to continue on foot.
Rumbling Down the Track - Traveling on the train with some hobos/ survivors. Allows fo rsome dialogue discussion with them and explore the cars.
Can't Save 'em All - One of the cars has a survivor / hobo die in it or had numerous walkers in it already. In order to escape, you need to disconnect the car from the rest of them. You're forced to choose to save who ever you saved in episode 1 or save Duck.
Tools for the Job - As the preview showed there's an attack in the zombie store. You and Kenny decide to go get supplies. Up to this point, if you've been a "bad friend" then he'll call you out on it.
Lend Me Your Ears - Message for help from Lee's ex-wife using a radio station. Something like, "If anyone is out there, we need help!" Episode IV would result in trying to get to Macon to save her.

Some new characters will probably be introduced but since I have no idea who yet, I omitted mentioning any new characters as much as possible. Personally, I think Kenny's family will be dead by episode 4. Might survive until 4 or 5 but will die in the end.

I don't know who will die but I know the third episode will be just as great if not better then this one.

I try to do what I believe is the best for the group, but if you don't side with Kenny, he just goes in a mood, I helped you before in episode one and gave your family food, yet you still accuse me of not caring about yous. -_-

The way I see it, the group is gonna take a train to the coast and lee and Kenny are gonna sneak away on his boat. That's what I would do.

THIS on so many levels! I fed Duck, Clem, Larry (to try to get him off my back), and Carley and have tried to be the peacekeeper in the group so far. Heck in Ep 1 he called me a friend when he saved me so what was with the change?

Daryl hasnt appeared yet in the comics so most likely he will appear in season 2 of this game

Love this game, and loved episode 3. There were some scary moments such as the dinner scene.
