Games That Benefit From Multiple Xbox's

I was just thinking as to whether or not I should buy a second Xbox. I feel like I continuously find myself in a situation where it would be beneficial. Then again, this may be just because I've been boosting Seriously 3.0 for the longest time.

Here's a little rundown of what I've got for a list:

Bomberman: Act Zero
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
The Club
Far Cry 2
Fear 2
Forza Motorsport 3
Fracture
Gears of War
Gears of War 3
Halo: Reach
John Woo Presents Stranglehold
Mortal Combat
NHL 08
Portal 2
Prey
Quake 4
Rockstar Table Tennis
Smash Court Tennis 3
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2

It seems to me that really the only reason another box is helpful is for multiplayer achievements.

Please post your thoughts on other games and I will update this list! I think this list will serve as a decider for at least some people as to whether or not to buy a second Xbox. Hopefully it will at least help me decide.

Gears of war 1 and Quake 4 are better boosting if you boost with 2 xboxes.

There are 2 360's in my house, so I could essentially do boosting on some games, I just don't see the point in having 2 copies of the game though, unless you're a serious completionist/achievement hunter. Don't get me wrong, I go for achievements and GS, but I'm not that dedicated to it. Probably the lack of money lol. But I guess any game that is dead online would serve a purpose for owning 2.

Prey - easy to boost, just no one plays it.

That's one example as its like £5 now, and quickt to boost, I know I have other games that would benefit this, like Banjo Nuts and Bolts, but its being bothered to grind the crap out of them.

I agree - only the really dedicated completionists/achievement hunters would consider buying a second xbox (unless they've got plenty of money to blow). It may be possible to get one really cheap though. I haven't looked much into it, but could they be as low as $100 used?

Portal 2. I just got the "Professor Portal" achievement last night by creating an account for my wife (who doesn't play video games) on my son's 360. Seeing as how this achievement is damn near impossible to get legit and you can't do it split screen, I just did it myself.

If you can afford it, go for it. My wife and I have often thought about doing that but have been put off by the thought of buying multiple copies of the same game.

I got 2 consoles, 2 copies of farcry 2 but only 1 screen left so that could be a hassle, lol.

In my personal opinion, if you're buying another Xbox just to boost or get an achievement then I think you really need to take a good look at why you play games and realise it may have become an addiction.

If you're serious about it, then you can always borrow the copy from a friend, or just hit up Gamefly and save a ton of money instead of buying it.

Riddick can be done with 2 besides Hero which requires 4

Everything in the Club can be done with 2

Almost any fighting game

Smash Court tennis

Table Tennis

Dark Sector (half the online can be done 2 the other half requires 4)

Both Gears of war games listed are optimal to be done with a triple box setup. With 1 just find 1 other person with that setup and your set. Gears 3 becomes a completely skill less single man grind with the triple setup

Fear 2 becomes almost bearable with multiple people who run atleast a double. Requires 4 recommended 3 or more double boxers.

Chaotic Shadow Warriors so you dont have to sit through online 100 games total.

Stranglehold except for the DLC bullshit

Almost any boost can benefit from multibox unless its something like the first army of two

The more Xboxes the better! I learned this lesson after having boosting session after boosting session ruined by people who just couldn't leave their ADHD at home.

Plus no time having to boost someone back, you save so much time on dodgy multiplayer so you can get back to actually fun games that way.

Thanks for the wonderful input! I updated the list to incorporate these games. It also seems that there is a decent range of attributes to 2 xbox's, ranging from 2 local playing fun, to getting dead multiplayer achievements, to getting insanely hard achievements otherwise (Seriously 3.0 being a prime example).

Well, if you're talking about two xbox consoles you can grind the Mortal Kombat "My Kung Fu Is Stronger" achievement having your profile offline while grinding on one Xbox and have your other xbox with you profile online. Also works with Forza Motorsport 3 (Solid Gold)

I never bought another Xbox because I don't really see the benefits for it other than quicker grinding. I'm dedicated, just not that dedicated.

This would help. Also one of the free gold trials maybe. Because 2 xbox's is one thing, but you need to copies of the game and two gold accounts. I like achievements, but that's further than I would ever go.

I agree, paying $60 yearly for a second gold account wouldn't be my first choice. 2 Day trials for when you need them though would work wonders. I'm bound to have at least 5, maybe 10 of those things hiding away in my game cases.

After the trials, you may see the ad for getting 1 month of Xbox Live for a $1 or the 2 month for $2.

That's something I would do, if I was going to try something like this.

This too. Ive never bought gold membership at a price even close to retail. Either $1 per month or bonus XBLA games with membership are the only ways ive singed up for it.

Wow, really? I never seem to have those offers come my way...

$1 a month pops up if you let your gold run out and ride on silver for a bit. Generally in the ads on the first couple of pages of the dashboard.

Some of those games would require more than two xboxes to grind away. Fracture would only need two, plus one gold account a piece. But to do Gears 1 ranked boosting you would need 3 Xboxes, 6 live accounts (no guest), IIRC. I was able to do the DLC achievements offline (Annex, et al.) in split screen, but the insanity of those base multiplayer achievements... I just don't want to think about it.

MAGICAL PRE-EDIT FROM THE FUTURE: KillerBEA did already mention this, kinda.

I haven't been on live for a while, but they were right in my face with these offers last I checked. An older one was $30 for 6 months and two XBLA games. They're pretty desperate to sign you up to gold.

Buy a second X-Box, then need a second TV (in my case buy another one), buy the same game twice just for achievements - seems a waste to me. Would rather spend the money on a new game.

As above I reverted to Silver yesterday and had an offer already, my last 6 month gold was an offer, can't remember the price, not doing it yet though.

A majority of HD big screens can do a PIP side-by-side. We'd even use it like that at LAN parties.

Valid on other counts, though. There's an absurd level of seriousness in order to start boosting by yourself.

I mean, I wouldn't let it stop me, but I have a plethora of borrowable equipment.

It would be helpful to list how many Xbox would be require to get the achievements. Like
Gears of War - 2 to 6 xboxs
Dynasty warrriors gundum 2 - 2 xboxs
