What is going on with this game.
Having been playing this game since it's release, I remember a time when you could spend an entire evening getting summoned by decent people (For the most part) that either needed a hand, or just wanted to do some co-op. Tonight I got summoned six times, three of which either involved someone summoning me only to fuck around and then leave the world, or one guys feeble attempt to have his buddy invade and then they summon me into trap. I was so goddamn mad that I shoved my Lightening Uchigatana so far up his ass that he was spitting lightening. This isn't the first time this has happened. It's becoming an irritating trend as of late. I don't know, must be all the dicks have caught on to Dark Souls now, so it's going to be increasingly more difficult to get a good legit co-op experience going.
I guess I'm going to have to start a Dark Souls Co-Op Society.

This has happened to me a few times recently too... in the Kiln of the first flame more often than not.
I just equip my black separation crystal now, just in case.

I haven't played in a while but I only got summoned once during my whole three playthroughs and it was a legit summon to help kill the bell gargoyles. It's probably because the game dropped in price now and more people have it who heard it was a good game but weren't prepared for it to be so hard so now they just wanna fuck around.
When I do get back into it I think I would be too high a level for anyone just looking to piss about. Hooray for a fractured femur, a week of bed rest and soul farming on the garden cliff haha. |

I hope in the new dlc they added this animation. That would be priceless...

That's right, like a "Sunbros Justice League"
![]() So here's an experience I had last night. I'm standing outside the Bell Tower, and this guy summons me. Everything looks on the up and up. He was even polite enough to let me clear out the entire tower for him, which I don't mind. I could do this in my sleep. So we get up to the fog door after he releases Lautrec, just about to go through to the Gargoyles and this guy summons an invader. So I'm thinking "Ok, this idiot doesn't know what he's doing." Wrong. He proceeds to climb back down both ladders and leave the area. As Wortsenawl stated, I simply activated the ol' Black Separation Crystal, and went help a couple people take out and angry wolf and a big dumb Golem at the top of a fortress. See what pisses me off, are these pathetic, balless, scabs that pull this shit in an area where a lot of beginners are coming through. And secondly, just fucking invade. Don't pull all this underhanded bullshit. I've probably battled of 6 or 7 invaders in the last week, and maybe two were legit, and ironically they were the two that I had epic battles with and lost. The other five got their asses handed to them for picking on newbs, most of which either had the invader in their world waiting next to them, or the one last night that summoned his buddy and then took a powder....miraculously unscathed.

They're too busy writing asinine messages and then rating their buddies other stupid messages.
I also love putting a message in a spot that is actually helpful then come back later to see a couple around my message with ratings while mine was ignored and never rated. </3

As far as cooping and stuff goes, I find myself gravitating toward the Blades of the Darkmoon. Something about being a conduit of justice just feels right. Also I can punish those newb hunters who stalk the beginning areas. Next time you encounter them, on the off occasion you may fall to their blade, be sure to indict them. My kin and I shall exact the will of the Dark Moon.

I got to be honest, I love this game to the highest degree but I'm not a fan of the way the MP works. After a couple invades...it's like...yawn.
I like the co-op aspect but it's so broken at times that ignore it for the most part. The game is so damn solid as a standalone SP game that it troubles me not. Hopefully they build upon the MP for the next "souls" because this game is so enjoyable.

I would definitely be up for a co-op society. Would be fun!

Yeah, I agree. If there were enough people interested in doing it and logistics could be worked out I would be 100% on board. I've already completed the game, but I have no intention of retiring it for a long time. Plus, who knows what the DLC is going to be and how much that will expand the re-playability.

i thought i was alone when people summoned me just for their friend to kill me. unfortunately though i suck at pvp and 9/10 times i get owned. now im a darkmoonblade and my strength builds seems to do well against them but what bugs me is why do they do it?

I recently returned to playing the game again, and pretty much noticed the same thing. Either I get invaded by low level players, entirely new to the game, having bought it cheap second hand, or someone who has "tweaked" the odds in their favour and have the constitution of a god.... despite the 20+ back stabs we deliver...
A friend and I like to team up against invaders, but we only fight 1v1 or 2v2. We only ever gang up on someone using cheap tactics. I sometimes spend ten minutes not moving whilst my mate fights the lone invader lol
