storyline prediction!
ive known nothing of far cry 3 until the e3 event today. I have played very little of far cry 1 or 2, so i have little knowledge of them also; but......
my prediction just by watching the trailers that have aired on ign's streaming today.. the main guy you keep seeing, idk his name, but he seems to be your enemy in the trailers. He is the guy that says the line (something like this) "have i told you what the definition of insanity is. I'll let you find out for yourself." After that quote in the trailer, he throws you off a cliff... SO MY PREDICTION: That man does not exist! I think the main character is dreaming him up. Honestly, like i have said, i have no clue what these farcry games are like, but does anyone else get the feeling (from the trailers) that they're going to pull a fight club like twist? My money is on either what you said, or it's revealed that you are the bad guy and you were talking to yourself/trying to kill yourself the whole time.
The Far Cry series has never had a solid plot line IMO.

I'd rather think this theory is all in your own head.
There is no clear indication that points out this would be nothing but a dream, doesn't make sense to wake up at the end of the game having a woman staring in your face: Honey, you okay? Ubisoft might be garbage but I doubt they would hit that road. |

Yeah actually thats exactly what I was thinking. This is looking to be pretty good. Ive never actually played any Far Cry games but ill probably be getting this one. Ill wait a couple of days for a review or something to make sure its as good as it looks though..

I was thinking the same thing, but it just seems so obvious that I'm hopeing I'm wrong.

I'm starting to think you're right about this prediction, or if not right then a damn good guess. The way Vaas talks, looks at you, acts, all of it seems too perfect in a world of violence and such on these islands. Something about him seems off but at the same time close to home.

Maybe he's just a crazy bad guy? He killed all your friends like in the trailer, so now you're looking for revenge, trying to escape the island or you join some sort of resistance against the bad guy, maybe he runs the island. So you join with them guys to get revenge.. I hardly think it's hallucinating, Had enough with the malaria bursts in Far Cry 2
