Co-Op causing glitches?

I just started to play the game in co-op I had beaten it previously and acquired numerous keys, such as the Car, SUV and Bike keys, plus my notebook was just about as full as could be. I played co-op in a friends game who just started.

After saving I went to my own game and found I didn't have any of the keys and my notebook was totally empty. Anyone else notice something like this happening when playing Co-Op in other people's games

Can't remember if such thing happened ever too me. However, the co-op mode is pretty infamous for causing glitches.
