Does this game have online multiplayer?

I had heard it is local only and was hoping that was wrong. Online multiplayer will be the deciding factor on whether I get this game so if anyone could confirm for me that would be great.

Thanks mate, looks like I will have to pass on this one. A shame really because I was really looking forward to playing with a couple of mates that I used to play mashed with.

The sequel to Mashed is on XBLA, it's called Wrecked. It's not very good though.

I'm the opposite; I'm always ecstatic to find a local MP game that looks fun because my wife isn't a big competitive multiplayer gamer, and most games that we enjoy together usually don't have much to offer locally. Ever since spending dozens of quarters on Off-Road 4x4 at the local arcade or roller rink about 20 years ago, I have longed for that 3/4-angle, light-hearted racer for years and years.

I will most likely pick up BBR for the nostalgia and the local MP and I'm looking forward to playing it.

This game would have been brilliant with 8 player online action. I love this this sort of simple but hard to master gameplay, i hope if they do a Bang Bang 2, proper online play is included.
