While I'm posting, I can't get through Genshin... All my IS bounce off 3/4 of his body, and that just happens to be the part of his body that Ryu has to auto-aim for... I almost feel like going through the game once for every weapon again.

It's not a bad thing to do individual weapon runs. Just takes a long time. If you are up for the challenge try it on PotMN |

Chapter 2. If this happens to be the "not easy" one, then I feel a little better lol.
Obviously not, but since I've done that once already, I'm more inclined to do this than playing the game another eight times. And I haven't even beaten MN once with a normal run, I don't think I could do a weapon run. Nevermind, I got through him. After throwing about one hundred IS through several deaths, I found a one second opening that I could hit without my attempt being cancelled from his own attacks. It just took about fifteen minutes longer than I liked, but that chapter is done, at least. Thanks.

It's been some time since someone has posted on this topic but I was hoping to get some advice on a sub-weapon run through. So far I've completed the game on warrior three times for weapon achievements (didn't occur to me I could just use sub-weapons in one run). My question is would it be better for me to start a completely new game on acolyte to make it easier on myself?
Another thing is, from reading previous posts it would seem that there are a number of things (such as incendiary/windmill shurikan) required to get through particular parts of the game, even at an early stage which implies I would need to complete the game once to acquire all these weapons which I could then I use on a New Game+. I would just like to clarify if this is correct or if it is possible to do without using a bunch of stuff from a previous run through. |

Personally I stopped (for now) at the first battle with Elizabeth. I beat the game with the Scythe and now Im using the Flail. After which I will take another crack at that skank and see what happens. Last edited by Sickboy254698; 04-15-2012 at 12:46 AM. |

So far I've beaten the game with the dragon sword, falcon's talons and the scythe, probably some of the easier weapons. Good luck at beating Elizabet, I've heard she's a bitch to kill without using primary weapons. |

I started a projectile run to hope and complete some of this game (im a big completionist and started this game like 5 years ago and hated it)
Today, I finally got to chapter 14 without using main weapons and made my primary save file before the last set of bosses. I killed the last one and the credits came up and no achievement. I was pretty worried but it popped after the credits at the save screen. Ive got half of the weapons done now. Thanks so much for this guide! If I can beat the game on normal and get one more dlc achievement, I can have 900g in this game and Ill be super happy. The dlc sucks though so I might be at 880g. |

The second time you fight Zedonius and the final arch-fiend battle (dragon form) were pretty rough for me with the flail. Every thing else can be killed by jumping towards them and pressing YYYYY and of course by using it's awesome UT. I did the Lunar Staff yesterday and that was pretty easy. I found that doing any of the combos that involve X forward X or Y as the start to the combo will pretty much destroy anything. I was also able to chain them together quite easily and got 100+ combos numerous times. I'm gonna do the Kusari-Gama now so I will only have the "easy" ones left... Quote:

well, since this has already been covered in around several dozens of threads:
you may and must use main weapons to break at least one floor in chapter 5 to enter the chamber of the water dragon boss. swinging a weapon is ok, but never ever hurt an enemy or you are bound to use this weapon for the achievement. you can run past a lot of enemies. if you have to kill them use upgraded ninpo(windblades, void or fireball) depending what enemies and how many you have to kill and of course you have to use the windmill, bow and incendary shurikens a lot = hence the name "projectile run" i am sorry if the this sounds a bit frustrated, but if you would take your time to read through the topics and especially this thread, you would have found your answer sooner...

I just finished up the weapon achievements and my controller is still working.
![]() I did the projectile run up to the battle with Elizabet at the end of Chapter 10. I stopped there because it's just not worth it IMO to keep going. The rest of the game can be beaten in an hour with each weapon so I decided to avoid the frustration of Ch 11 and the 2nd battle with Zedonius in Ch 12. Hats off to all of you who made it to the very end with this method. I guess I'm just not worthy.

I just knocked open each one and ran ahead to the next without killing anyone. When you get to the end where the save point is go left down the tunnel and all the bad guys chasing you will disappear.

JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE, SINCE THIS IS NOT CLEAR AT ALL FROM THIS THREAD
Can you detroy the panels/consoles on the airship (the flying fortress) with ANY melee weapon? I used the UT2 of the Scythe MANY times, but no effect. Arrows and ninpo's neither. HOWEVER, the Scythe does have a effect when I'm close. But than OIL gets on the blade! Does this prevent me from having me achievements? Sorry if I sound frustrated, it just seems that nobody actually says a lot about this in the thread.. |

these terminals are just the same as e.g. the wooden floor you have to break in chapter 5...as long as it isn't an enemy you hit it doesn't matter and so it has been already answered 10k times at least

Like two players in this thread said that The Flight Of The Pheonix works pretty well on Elizabeth. I would like to confirm this! It works very, very well. I suggest you put this in your guide!

It certainly works but I wouldnt go so far as to say it works well. It takes forever to kill her with it. IMO you're better off using Art of the Inferno. I was able to hit her with it a lot by manually aiming and then turning in the opposite direction she was moving. As long as Ryu released the fireballs when she was off screen I was able to hit her with it about 2/3rds of the time.

Elizebet help
Hi. I was reading many threads from the Projectile Run, and mostly every people says that Elizebet can only be beaten with Phoenix or Fire Ninpo, and Bow.. IS are really hard to get to her but I read a topic in another forum and it actually works (I couldn't read the user who deserves the credit but its hard to find).
Basically, go to a corner and perform a bird jump in the wall just as Elizebet approaches, then press B for a 2-set of IS deployed. They will explode against the wall and will do a kind of splash damage. I could manage to hit her 13-18 times and it took some 2/3 of her health. After that, doing some 6 Fire Ninpo throws and maybe a Talisman or some mushrooms, you will get her pretty quick (I took a hit from her blood drainer but still could kill her). I believe this is the easiest way to get rid of this slut! If anybody is still trying to do these runs (I just finished Tonfa and Lunar Staff), this may be of great help. BTW. Hitting the consoles in chapter 7 with your main weapon doesn't count towards the projectile run. Just save as often as possible in case of an accidental damage that will make you return to the last saved spot Cheers
