i breezed through e2l1-e2l6 last night in under 30 min

The levels vary a lot in general size (look at some of the labyrinthine maps for some of the later ones!) and directness. There's at least one level I remember doing where you can ignore about 80% of it, just grabbing the key and leaving.

Playing Doom has obviously softened me up. I like playing with a map!

They aren't very long in reality, but they FEEL hella long. It tool me about an hour and a half to complete episodes 1 and 2, but it felt like double that.

yeh they are long as hellllll, but i play this on my iphone so there is a map , and i liek the fact that its long, make bus journeys kick assssss

lol cant wait for the new wolfenstein as well

If I remembered where the keys were I could breeze through these maps in very short order, but I haven't played this game since 1993ish. My mom bought me the shareware version of Episode 1, but I was never able to pick up the other episodes because I lived in Germany. They frown on this kind of sh!t over there! Bastards.

Back on the old school computer days I used to make maps for this. Ones that were 100 times tougher than any in the game since I played it to death. :P Was good times. It's a nice little nostalgia trip. Just finished with Hitler the other day, half way through EP 4 I think.
