Did anyone actually USE Jahvik?

I used him throughout my playthrough. Dark channel was very useful and he was just a good squadmate in general

I used him and Liara basically my entire insane run through. Had very little issues. I played a solider...if you are not playing as a sentinel/inflitrator/solider i could see him not being as useful as an ahsley/james.

I used him extensively on my Insanity run, purely for the hilarity his dialogue created.

I don't really use Jahvik... but I like having him for conversations! He always says something that I think is funny!

I actually think Javik is a prime example of why the conclusion to Mass Effect 3 just rubs me the wrong way.

Some questions are just better left unanswered, imo.

But yes, somewhere in my first playthrough, I started using him as a squad member. I can't remember what is power is called (dark something?) but I remember if you upgrade it correctly, it's actually quite powerful when used on groups of enemies because it jumps to a different enemy when the first one dies.

I used him once then shelved him. Sounds like I missed out on a useful ally. If I ever give the insanity levels a shot, maybe I'll give him a try.

Haven't got the "From Ashes" DLC yet but I plan on using Javik on my playthrough when I do as he seems interesting and to add some new perspective to the storyline, more so than that waste of pixels Vega, used him once...never again, useless Krogan sub

I was disappointed with the squad in this one compared to the other two games. It just didn't seem as vibrant as the others. Javik was ok, but to me DLC characters are never as good as the originals and considering it was 800 Microsoft points the mission was pretty crap as well. Ashley has hardly any dialogue and Vega is some guy who happens to tag along with you. I'm sure they could have put more effort into Ashley, and got a better character than Vega. Not sure about Javik. I alway ended up taking Garrus and Liara, the originals you know? I would have taken Tali if i had ever chosen her as a LI. EDI was a really good addition to squad in my opinion. But invariably I always end up making the same decisions. Choice is an illusion. :P

I always use Javik from the moment I obtain him from the DLC, his dialog's really amusing and his particle beam rifle is surprisingly powerful despite what in-game stat readings say, plus it was also a nice move from Bioware to actually include a live prothean into the game as a squadmate (even if the price was a rip off).

Liked Javik with his particle rifle and dark channel power. He also gives good comments during the missions, especially the one at the temple on Thessia with Liara.

Pretty much the same comments from me, plus his line about the Salarians, made me LOL.

I actually really liked Javik. Sure, he was a prize moaner, but he was interesting and had all the good stories to tell. I used him often towards the end.

Good backstory, notable character development that changes depending on dialogue choices, and he has arguably best primer for bioexplosions (Dark Channel) Don't know why you wouldn't use him, especially on missions like Thessia

I didn't use him that much (I recruited him quite late I thought), the only mission I remember taking him along for sure was Thessia, but I'm positive I brought him along on more. But from what I did see of him, I'd repeat what ol'Veedrock said.

I don't think Jahvik is a very useful squad member but he has some of the best lines in the game. I took him with me to complete the Thessia mission and he has some interesting and funny dialog during it.

Out of my three runs through SP the one that I used Javik on every mission was the best. Not for his powers and combat ability but for the commentary. His outlook really frames the events of the time.

I used him occasionally, though i found him an incredibly unlikeable charector just like EDI, Kaiden, Ashley and Vega ME3 had a very unlikeable NPC lineup compaired to ME2's

The team of Shep, Javik/Garrus or Liara are just un beatable.

I used Javik constantly until I started swapping my character from Vanguard to Sentinel, to Engineer, to Infiltrator.

Vega's my main but I try to keep Javik in the mix as much as possible. Very much my favorite character next to Zaeed.

I went through using pretty much just Garrus and Liara. Found almost no use for the Prothean at all.
