Was last weekend's Horde nerf a permanent change?

I just wanted to know if the changes from last weekend were permanent.Since this event is still running on my console, I wanted to abuse it as much as I can.I still need 1500+ waves for the onyx, but cant take much more of this pain..wanna turn my xbox off

.Lambent waves go fast but the grind is killing me.

No, starting tomorrow it will change to Classic Horde, ala Gears of War 2 Horde, for the weekend (possibly week?) event. They extended last weekends event for a week for some odd reason.
