Epic Battle! achievement glitch?

I had a party last night, and we played Dance Battles non-stop for over two hours, without this achievement unlocking. Has anyone noticed a similar problem? Or did one of my friends inadvertently do something in the menus to reset the 10 battle count?

I did this yesterday, you have to do ten Dance Battles in a row, without doing anything else in between. Just keep picking New Song then Dance Battle and it'll unlock when you've completed the tenth song.
