Is your disc scratched?
Have you tried deleting and re-downloading any updates?
Have you got any DLC? If so, have you tried deleting and re-downloading?
Is the game installed to the HDD?

Some things that could help fix the problem.

What's with the "screw the killers and atomic peanuts"? Lmfao.

Install the disc to your hard drive to make it run smoother. If your disc is badly scratched then you will need to either get a new copy, or borrow the game from a friend and install it.

Try what Rep said. I never had any trouble with this game but I install all of mine.
