Question about the 'Horder' achievement and my corrupted save..

My save got corrupted when they released the update for the gears 3 beta. So I'm having to redo the echo's. Now, my times are still on the leaderboards but I still have to unlock the echos as if I never played them. My question is since I'm replaying them, I've beaten my previous scores before my data got corrupted by getting 3 stars, why isn't my total score for the echo's going up when I get higher scores? I just got 3 stars on the first 10 echos and my score has not increased from 104055. Shouldn't it increase when I get a higher score or is the leaderboards just slow to update?

Edit: It started updating when I got towards the last of the echos. The leaderboard said I had 138k when the cheevo popped.
