anyone have a good strategy for Guardian and Abductor?

and to anyone who has them onyxed already? what are the requirements?

Well, for Guardian, you just need to grind it out. Sign in a guest for your team and get a second person on the other team. Then spend the next 3 hours using double beat downs to continually down your idle and the other leader. There's vids on YouTube of the method, so I won't explain it in full detail. When I helped someone out, we were getting 130-140 per round. I believe you need 1200 for Onyx.

I've been playing 15 round games against casual bots with my other controller on the other team. Don't worry and weapon kills at all, just get your Gnasher out, shotgun the first regular bot with the leader to get a first blood then make a beeline for the leader.

It goes pretty fast and is best done in smaller chunks, say 50 at a time. After 10 very small sessions you'll have it this way.

Oh so it doesnt need to be set to fill then? or does it?

i have 3 consoles, so it'd be me vs 5 idles.

I'm pretty sure anything which entails earning a ribbon requires a full room.

I try CLT boosting like the guide suggests:

Caputer leader time: 10
Round to win: 1
Number of bots: 1
Bot diffuclty: insane:
Bleeding time: 5
Weapon Pickups: DISABLED.

Cog team: Me and Bot
Locust team: Idle player.

But in 140 minutes i earn ONLY 8 matches CTL. (one CTL match in 15 minutes)

Tell me I did something wrong because it takes forever.

Maybe the bleedout time should be longer otherwise the bot doesn't always have time to make the capture? Also don't forget there is a lot of time overhead in the switch between maps/matches so it's always slower than you think it's going to be. Mind you, that does seem incredibly slow…

OK, just looked at some of my own stats, going for CTL with bots to fill so I can idle boost and get Sovereign and Leader progress too.

Capture time: 10
Rounds to win: 1
Number of bots: Fill
Bot difficulty: Insane
Bleed-out time: 60
Friendly Fire: On (doesn't make that much difference, though)
Weapon Pickups: Disabled

Matches per hour: 22
Wins (Sovereign) per hour: 9
Leader (Untouchable) per hour: 6

Those figures are about average for me. That was a 3 hour session. I do have stats for another 15 hour session where it seems I was getting 24/12 matches/wins but not sure of all settings on that one. Perhaps I had all weapons to Boomshot left over from previous idle boosting?

After getting a bit bored of the online I've decided to give the arcade, beast and campaign medals a go. Beast and arcade aren't too bad, I've made good progress and nearly completed them all. What's the best way for Horde waves and money? I'm guessing re-doing a boss wave over and over for money and wave one for waves completed? What are the best ways?

There's a thread here titled something along the lines of 55 games per hour on any game type. I think it does require multiple consoles, however. But if you and a friend work at it, you can still each get credit for over 20 games per hour on average, which is easily 3 times faster than idle boosting Wingman on your own.

Seems like too much work to quit glitch games when I could just idle it in my downtime and spend the rest of my waking hours browsing the internet and eating cookies. That's just my 2¢, though, and I've already completed Wingman.

Ah, OK thanks. I'm inclined to agree. If I'm going to sit in front of my console for that long it would be more enjoyable to just play the game. Otherwise I'll be patient and just idle it.

Was grinding explosive kills using the gridlock method, but using frags instead, got done with the matches, and checked my explosive kill count and nothing added to them?

do the frags not count as explosive kills?

So this may be a stupid question but i just got my hands on a 2nd xbox. I was going to try to idle boost skunker with both boxes but every time a DLC map pops up on the playlist the game will automatically disconnect my 2nd xbox. Is there any way to get around this by like disabling DLC on playlists or something or do i just need to suck it up and buy a 2nd season pass?

Killing the leader in a round of Guardian counts as progress towards the Abductor medal. I checked my progress before I entered the match (303), killed the leader twice, and saw my progress at 305 after the game was over. I'll try out the other CTL-specific medals to see if it works or not.

You can move the DLC to a USB device and just remove it while playing System Link. I think it was discussed elsewhere in this thread.

There is another way, make sure your dummy xbox with no DLC is the host, this way your other main xbox will be fine.

I was wondering why my abductor went from 220 to 240 before i started boosting it. lol.

onyxed it now anyways. bringing me up to 50 onyx medals.

I just used 1 console.
Me vs my dummy.
On execution.
I got 2000+ in like hour and a half.

guess that 400 spots ever 20 mins works.

but u cant really idle idle the spotter, youll have to set things up ever new match.
