Wow, wtf? Gun glitch

My gf is at this part in the game where you press a button to move a crate, a guy runs out at her with a pipe, she does the QTE and then when it comes to attacking she presses the button and nothing happens

The weapon she has is a revolver but for whatever reason it wont fire, she presses the right button and they just stop and stare at each other

The part where you first get to move a crate with the crane to access the elevator right? Same thing happened to me.

Before you enter the room with the crane controls, turn around head down the stairs and search the area in front of you. There's a case you can open with a lockpick tool (found in a nearby cart) that'll let you swap the gun for a bat, letting you actually get past that point.

Because of this glitch, I try to dump the guns for a melee weapon ASAP. It's not like you fight a lot of enemies anyway.

your not supposed to pick up the revolvers thats the glitch right there. ive heard about this a few times, i never seen a revolver that i could pick up. just avoid them.

yeah we managed to get passed it with the bat, really stupid though how the guy drops the gun though, Im sure everyones reaction would be to pick it up

I can confirm this glitch as well-it doesn't matter if you are trying to counter-attack, or just attack him first. As stated above, get that lockpick tool and get the bat out of the case at the bottom of the stairs. I can't believe there's a glitch this bad in the final release lol

I just picked this up recently and I experienced this glitch earlier. I wish I had seen this thread first because I was so puzzled I just started a new game.

Fortunately, even doing that, the game was still able to track my collectibles. That made it easier to catch up quickly since I had been using the collectibles guide to track my progress.
