Beat Developer Best Achievements

There are various achievements on this for beating developer bests. However I can't even beat one developer best at the moment. Is this best left until the end of the career so that the atx/mx performance is maxed out?

Have finally got all these achievements. The best advice does seem to be wait until you have finished your career before you attempt them so you have a maxed out vehicle. Also, for more complex tracks with multiple routes, spend a few goes following the ghost to see what route they take, as it's always the best one.

Also, the DLC tracks count towards this, so if like me you are really struggling at some of the original tracks, you can use the DLC tracks to reach the total of beating 14 developer bests. I still can't beat the developer best at the very first track - Railroad, which is really annoying me, but never mind, I have the achievements now.
