Achievement Discussion

Just got to the end of the Thieves Guild Quest line where you must trade in a piece of old their armour to gain the new piece, but i can't find my last stashed piece! I may have even sold every piece without realising.

Is their literally no other way to go get it back?

If not, i'm screwed... and i really hated those side missions for each city.

Found my Thieves Guild Boots thankfully, on one of my mannequins in my Solitude House.

Having a hell of a time getting up to 100k gold. Don't get me wrong, I have probably 50k worth of inventory and enchants ready to go, but I never invested in speech perks so I'm stuck at 500-700 gold or so per merchant so it's taking forever.

I thought about just making a save with a bunch of perks saved up to get to merchant investing/bonus barter gold, but I'm almost level 50 and leveling is fairly slow. I'm sure I'll get there eventually, but just as a note of caution it is a SLOW achievement to earn normally if you don't invest in speech perks.

I like the fact that Bethesda actually varied the acheivements up this time, Fallout 3 was pretty much a "finish a quest, get a cheevo" list and Oblivion was "get a promotion, here's an acheivement". I however like most ppl agree Skyrim isn't an acheivement whoring type of game, its more of an interactive experience than say an actual "game".

Just got my 14th achievement out of 50. Found 100 places. Took longer than I was expecting!

I'm about 80 hours in and missing... 6 achievments. Deadric artifacts, level 50, skills books, 1000 bounty and two of the brotherhood quests (which have glitched).

After I completed the main story I kinda got bored and just went acheivement hunting, because so many of my quests are messed up I can't be bothered. I'll probably hunt down a few skill books that I need, maybe get the bounty one too, and then it's time for a new character~

So I sold all my thieves guild armor and am now screwed. Any announcements from Beth to remedy this bs?

Its not BS. There are also people reporting that there is sometimes an option to skip the armour option and still get the achievement. Either try it or start another character. Plenty to do that you wont have if you start over.

Perhaps a good level in Speech will help?

I really can't be bothered to do the Daedric quests, but it's the only acheivement I'm missing so it's tempting... and apparently no one on my friends list can be bothered either, as no one I know has it, lol.

I might just get a walkthrough for them. :3

The "bounty" one and the "50 pockets picked" are going to give me trouble.

The hardest Achievement was the Thu'um Master. it was the last one I got.

The achievement are definitely based off how you play.

After not playing for almost a month, I finally went back to get my last achievement Now I can focus on the other three games I've had hanging around.

Yeah, it certainly wasn't one of the toughest. It's not like you had to collect every word and in the right order (THAT would have been hell), all you had to do was find one of each.

I found the requirement amount for the achievement, without even trying. They just came naturally.

Naturally for some, I guess. The reason I say tedious is because I had to constantly go back and forth to Arngeir asking for the location of a "word of power" not knowing that he would send me to a word of a shout I had already learned... not contributing to the achievement. This happened many times.

I explored a lot. Especially when trying to find 100 locations. Head for dragon heads on the map. Good starting points

I do too, but only because I'm not much of an online gamer. I'm either that person who generally sucks and can never get the cheevs anyway, or because I have a tendency to buy older games, no one else is online.

I think a mutiplayer option would be nice though. I'd like to go dragon slaying with my friends. :3

If you want to level up your speech quickly go to Riften and do the speech check with Ungrien in the Black Briar meadery, but if you don't want to use exploits and level speech up natuarally, carry on trooping and hope you get your cheevo soon.

Finally got the last achievement, becoming master of the thieves guild. Putting the game back into the CE box now, may pick it up again in a few months but for now i'm settled at 160h in game. Moving on to finish up Arkham City

Without realising, I've sold the Ebony armour from a daedric quest. Do I need to have the item owned, or just on my stats saying I have found X amount of items, for the achievement?
