Achievement Guide and Roadmap

I'm posting an updated Achievement Guide using Invader999's original guide. After playing through the game I noticed a few things that needed to be changed. I'm also adding a roadmap to the guide and I'm submitting it to the main page. Invader999's original Achievement Guide is pretty good it just need a few minor changes. I hope this helps you get through the game a little quicker.

Welcome to Hasbro Family Game Night’s Boggle. This game is based on the board game by the same name and manufacturer. This game is relatively easy and can be done by your self (with two controllers) or with a friend locally or over Xbox Live. There are a few options you want to turn on for each of the games you play to make life easier for you (I’ll list them for each game). Sit back and enjoy this wonderfully easy game and add 200 points to your gamerscore.

Game 1:

Game Mode: Word Hunt (Use This for Every Game – It Makes This Very Easy)

Set Custom Game Options to the Following:

Advanced Controls: No
Portal Cubes: Yes (Play every game with them on - you only need 10 for the Achievement but it may help with some of the bigger words)
Panic Flip: No
Auto-Rotate: Yes (This is immensely helpful – it rotates all the letters so they are all facing the same direction – I would play every game with it on)
Rounds: 1
Round Time: 8:00 Minutes (The Maximum Limit)

How to Play This Game: Play this game ONLY making 3-letter words!

Number of Players: 2 (Use two players for every game - "Winner!" and "Loads Of Winning" will both unlock with only one player but "Fifty Wins" will NOT.)

Achievements Earned:

• Winner!
• Bits and Pieces
• The Mind Boggles
• Enough Already!

Game 2:


Game Mode: Word Hunt
Set Custom Game Options to the Following:

Advanced Controls: No
Portal Cubes: Yes
Panic Flip: No
Auto-Rotate: Yes
Rounds: 1
Round Time: 2:00 Minutes (Should Be More Than Enough Time)

How to Play This Game: Play this game making one 8-letter word and five 6-letter words.

Number of Players: 2 (Use two players for every game - "Winner!" and "Loads Of Winning" will both unlock with only one player but "Fifty Wins" will NOT.)
Achievements Earned:

• The Mighty
• Wordsmith

Game 3:

Game Mode: Word Hunt

Set Custom Game Options to the Following:

Advanced Controls: No
Portal Cubes: Yes
Panic Flip: No
Auto-Rotate: Yes
Rounds: 1
Round Time: 30 Seconds (1:00 Minute if You Think You Need The Extra Time)

How to Play This Game: Play this game making one – 5-letter word. You can make more but you only need one.

Number of Players: 2 (Use two players for every game - "Winner!" and "Loads Of Winning" will both unlock with only one player but "Fifty Wins" will NOT.)
Achievements Earned:

• I Call Fives

Games 4 – 50:

Game Mode: Word Hunt

Set Custom Game Options to the Following:

Advanced Controls: No
Portal Cubes: Yes
Panic Flip: No
Auto-Rotate: Yes
Rounds: 1
Round Time: 30 Seconds (You Only Need to Create One Word to Win)

How to Play These Games: Create one word and let the timer run out or just make words until the timer runs out. As long as you make one you win.

Number of Players: 2 (Use two players for every game - "Winner!" and "Loads Of Winning" will both unlock with only one player but "Fifty Wins" will NOT.)
Achievements Earned:

• Loads Of Winning!
• Portal Pro
• Fifty Wins

There you have it! Boggle completed and 200 points added to your gamerscore. Thanks to Hasbro for the easy 200. Now it’s time to move on to the next one.

Wordsmith - 20

Score 5 6-letter words in one round of Boggle

Unless you like torturing yourself, my advice is to use the Word Hunt mode and search for 6-letter words displayed on the Lexicon. If you make sure that portal cubes are turned on you may pick up a few more that originally listed. Keep in mind you don’t have to win with just 6-letter words; you just have to make 5 during the game.


Bits and Pieces - 10

Make 10 words that are 3 letters long in one round

See "The Mind Boggles"


Portal Pro - 20

Win 10 games of Boggle with Portal Cubes turned on

See "Fifty Wins", but go to custom game settings and turn Portal Cubes on.


The Mind Boggles - 20

Win a game with 20 words that are 3 letters long

Create a custom game with the timer set to 8 minutes and 1 round. This should be more than enough time to find twenty 3-letter words. If you are struggling make sure you are playing a Word Hunt game (I'm not sure how to scroll the list though and the longest words show up on top so it may not be very helpful) with Portal Cubes turn On. If you are having trouble making twenty words try connecting three random letters together. You may be surprised to see how many words you didn't know were valid in Boggle. During my try I was able to get twenty-three words. 10 - 12 of those words I was familiar with or thought of on my own.


The Mighty 8 - 20

Spell an 8-letter word in Boggle

Again, unless you still like torturing yourself, use Word Hunt as it tells you the longest words on the board. If there is not an eight letter word finish the game anyway you have to play 50 for “Fifty Wins” you should get an eight letter word somewhere in there.


I Call Fives - 20

Finish a game only using 5-letter words

Simply start a game of Boggle and create one 5-letter word and let the timer run out. You do not have to win the game you just have to finish it. It will help if you play a Word Hunt game and turn the timer to 30 Seconds.


Fifty Wins - 40

Win 50 multiplayer games of Boggle

Simply start up a local custom game and play by your self (with two controllers) or with a friend locally or over Xbox Live with Word Hunt turned on. Set the custom game setting to One Round and 30 Second Round Timer. Create one word before the timer runs out (you can make more but you only need one), rinse and repeat until you get 50 wins.

** Note: You must have two controllers for this achievement to unlock. Both "Winner!" and "Loads of Winning" will unlock with only one player but "Fifty Wins" will NOT.


Secret Achievement


Enough Already! - 10

Shook the Boggle box for longer than 10 seconds

Keep spinning the for 10 seconds to shake the dice. You'll need a stopwatch or the ability to count for 10 seconds as the achievement DOES NOT appear until the game ends.

Next time either one of you post a guide, try to make sure you actually check the facts. You have to use 2 controllers for the 50 wins. I just got finished doing way more than 50 and looked under achievements and it still said 0/50 wins. Then I looked at the description which even says 50 multiplayer wins. Signed in a second controller and about 45 min. later had 50 multiplayer wins. Thanks for the guide and wasting quite a bit of my time with inaccurate information.

I'm very sorry about that Latuszek. When I checked those on my other profile I didn't check the stats section to see if the wins registered for the 50. You are correct and they must be multiplayer wins. I have adjusted my guide with the update and have sent a message to the submit forum noting them of the change. Thanks for the heads up and again I'm sorry for the misinformation.

This is actually a preety good revision of my guide; I like how you mentioned that Fifty Wins must be done in multi-player. Now if only the main site would get around to giving us some credit for the actual achievement guide. Although they at least gave you credit for the road map. Anyway, great job on the road map and revisioned achievement guide.
