keep dying on farnsworth level

This is really starting to get annoying. In the guide it says that when you loose all your health in single player on the farnsworth level you get some button prompt to get health but I dont get any prompt and just die. But I didnt have an update so I dont hink they've patched it.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Nevermind, I've done it now, I guess they must have patched it.

I just played the Farnsworth level twice and, that just happened to me twice. Unlike throughout the rest of the game, when my mobile trench went down it was simply game over. To be honest I assumed it was a design decision to make the Farnsworth level harder. Is this actually a bug or something?

In any case, any tips on how to defeat this level? I'm have a lot of trouble figuring out where to target the 'thing', and in in general am just having trouble with this level.
