Persistence is a virtue not unlocking

I've failed a level 25 times and then completed it, but the achievement didn't unlock. I've also tried playing through 25 levels normally (as suggested on another forum) but this didn't work either. Can anyone help me unlock this please? What exactly do I have to do?

i got this achievement on the level after the tutorial

on the first level the one with the guy in the hole just keep beating the level dont hit next level just replay level just do it 24 more times and it will pop

Just repeat the first level after the tutorial 25 times.

exactly what i did, it was like the 3rd or 4th achievement i got.. some of these levels are kinda tricky..
