Ending
First off, if you haven't completed Perseus Mandate, do not bother to read forward.

I recently beat Perseus Mandate and I am confused about the ending. Perseus was picked up by the Sgt. and escaped with it. After the credits roll they show the same object you pick up and was handed to the Senator. What I want to know is how and why?
