gun kompatible to other cabela games?

For me, the gun wont work at all! All I get is "gun not detected", tried everything, its going back the shop tommorrow.

the gun is a pain in the ass. as far as i can tell the scope is a gimmick because usimg it requires extreme distance from tv especially with large tvs in order to calibrate it correctly which makes seeing the game hard. basically use it with the ingame xhairs only and youll be fine. its still a bit of a technology in its infancy. the game is hard to play only because of the gun, which takes the fun out of the game not being able to rely on accurate (latency with xhairs make me over shoot) gunmanship. the gun would be more suitable for the more realistic cabela games that are actually like hunting because you would have timeto line up your shot...
